Hi All,

Ok so I worked for a Temp agency - they placed me at another company where I worked in an administrative role. I requested a letter of reference from the Temp agency since they were my employers. They put the length of time I worked for them, what I was paid and that I was in an administrative role however, they didn't specify my roles and responsibilites because really they didnt know. My resposibilities varied at the company the agency placed me at. Is the letter they gave me to submit suffice? Or do I need to have more specifics?

I think it's significant to note that this work experience isn't coded as 0, A or B under the NOC. However, I am including this because it is previous experience within the last 3 years (as requested on the CIC website).

Thoughts??

If it isn't counting towards your eligible experience, I wouldn't worry about it as it really doesn't have bearing on your application.

On the assumption that this work experience isn't making up your eligible Canadian work experience (ie Skill type 0, skill level A or B), then I think the letter as you stated would be sufficient.

A description of your job duties is an absolute must for your letters of refers/job letters for your eligible experience. It is the most common reason people get denied (ie insufficient details, mismatch NOC codes, etc).
