Hey all,
I am worried about something and I dont know If I should
My employer already gave me a reference letter as I requested them to do so, but I was terminated by them (Deosnt affect my CRS score). The thing is will it matter or affect my application if IRCC came to know that I was terminated, or if I attached my termination letter to the application as it has some needed work proofs.
Please let me know

I am worried about something and I dont know If I should
My employer already gave me a reference letter as I requested them to do so, but I was terminated by them (Deosnt affect my CRS score). The thing is will it matter or affect my application if IRCC came to know that I was terminated, or if I attached my termination letter to the application as it has some needed work proofs.

Not a problem. If you want peace of mind, you can provide your termination/relieving letter so that they know you don't work there anymore.
IRCC doesn't require you to remain at your job during the application process.
As long as all the information provided at time of application is true and accurate, you're fine.

Thank you very much, yes I as planning on doing so but the thing is where I ork my work visa is on a sister company to what I actually work in so my reference letter was issued from the actual company that I work in but the termination letter was issued on the sisters company letterhead i hope i was clear

What I mean is my company where i actually worked is X but because some quota limits on engineers when they were issuing my work visa they made my visa on Y (sister company of X). So any letter (termination, salary certificate etc) will be issued on the Y letterhead. But I asked them to issue me the reference letter on X letterhead and they helped me, when it comes to the termination letter its issued on Y letterhead and hence the confusion.

If you were terminated before you submitted the reference letter then the letter should have had a start and end date (not 'xxx currently works for this company')

I was but they I still have a month of service (notice period) so they issued it as still working as i technially still am ( havent handed over yet i mean)

Member has not submitted the application yet. So I assume that end date needs to be specified in the forms. I understand the issue of visas here, I would suggest to keep the letters uniform and since you are no longer working there, it’s advisable to obtain a fresh reference letter on the sister concern letter head which will be same as your other documents. Alternatively, explain this in LOE with valid evidence of these being part of the same group.

Okay. then you have nothing to worry about. you were working there as at the time the letter was written before you were terminated.

I was terminated on 12th of Jan and I asked for the letter on 14 th and they gave it to me as "he has been working with us since" because as i said I am still going to work as part of my one month notice period, so they cant really give an end date which is a future date (12th of feb is my last day of work and still counts to my salary) i hope i was clear

Got it. However, your documents should be on the same company’s letterhead as IRCC wouldn’t know they are associated concerns.

Well sure, but do I need to provide the end of service letter at all. I mean as I will be submitting my application before my last day of work so do you think I have to give them the letter of end of services

The termination decision was out 2 days before jt was issued but I am actually still working for one more month as i said
