Reference letter not available on official letterpad

Hi Guys,

I am in process of applying my PR under CEC, but I am stuck at the place where I am required to submit the work experience letter on official letterpad. My company has policy against issuing such letters on official letterpad.

I can ask my colleagues/supervisor to provide me a reference letter on plain paper, along with their business cards. (I can also put the company logo on top of that letter and make it look like official, but think I should better not do that). Will the ref letter + business cards option be sufficient?? Is there any thing else I can or should do??

Well i think that should be fine, initially i had been given the same letter ....JUST A COMPANY LOGO and address on a plane paper and they said they cant issue me on an official letter head..

untill I had provided the CEC checklist...then they had given me the letter on official letterhead.


As long as you full name, duties, pay, period of employment, date issued, hours per week, supervisor contact details, company logo, address, website, phone numbers, are there in letter ...........You should be fine.
