Hi all, wondering if I could get some advice,

Currently on a two-year working holiday visa, applied for PR under CEC, and just applied for BOWP today. My visa expires June 30th, 2018 so I know I won't get the BOWP in time and will be on implied status.

So my question- My brother is getting married in Portugal June 28th. If I am back in Canada by June 29th, will I be able to re-enter Canada and continue working? How likely am I to get a hard time from immigration?

Thanks!

Others can correct me, but once you leave Canada you no longer have implied status. Returning to Canada would be an entirely new entry.

I will still be within my working holiday visa, it would expire the day after I returned so I wouldn't be on implied status until the next day. But I'm assuming it would still raise some red flags with immigration at the airport, so I'm wondering how stupid of an idea it would be to go

Assume you have read other posts saying that implied status to continue working when moving from an IEC is a grey area anyway but if were me with so much at stake and having only just applied I wouldnt risk adding any complications, plus the CIC answer in the link below implies someone should not leave Canada, your choice
