1. Re-read the form again. Q. 11 You need the no. from either your IMM 1000 if you landed before 2002 or IMM 5292 if you landed after 2002.

sorry but you didn't give clear answer, I didn't get what yoy meant?!

Try to make it easier.

1. When you came to Canada as an Immigrant, if it was before June/2002 you were given a sheet of paper with the form no. IMM 1000 on it. That is your Record of "landing" If you came after June/02 a piece of paper was stapled in your passport, that is your Record of Landing IMM 5292. Write down the no. from either of those forms in Question 11. It should be a number Bxxxxxxxxx

yes I understand this. I don't have the IMM 1000 with me as I am Canadian and I don't remember the no. at the same time they are asking me to mention it if I am naturalized canadian, is it important to write it down or leave it empty?

don't leave it empty. I would write "not sure" instead.

u r naturalized citizen...that u cannot live it blank...the record of landing is the paper u got when u first time came to Canada...it's the paper u were showing everywhere before u got ur PR card...u should write the file number of that paper and even give a photocopy of it as supporting document if u r not sure what's the number...also in the guides they do say that if u do not have that paper or don't remember the number just write the visa office which processed ur application to come to Canada and ur name when the application was processed (same name as now i suppose) and it should be ok...

but don't leave it blank and don't write not applicable (cuz it is applicable); write don't know, don't remembe,r i'm outside Canada and don't have the paper with me, lost the paper, anything u like

I could find the file number on one of the letteres I used to recieve while I am doing my immigration process. is it the same number of the ROL? the file no. start with Bxxxxxxxxx

thx
Firas

i'm not sure :-\ i'm outside Canada too so don't have and didn't keep all the documents to check

i think the B thing is the immigration file number which probably is not what they ask (not everybody who applies to immigrate get accepted and actually land)....the ROL i have (after 2002) has many numbers: one is the immigration file number, another is client id, another is document id; i think the one they ask is the number unique for each ROL document (the document id which u can find it only on the ROL)...

but u can give a copy of that letter why not and explain that that's the only thing u still have...at least they see that u did ur best to find what they asked...
