Can i get some help my work permit got rejected and when i saw the notes it was on something i did not apply for which proves a clear administrative error.

I applied for reconsideration 2 weeks ago and i still did not hear back, do you guys know any timeline or previous experience ?

There are no timelines for reconsideration. You will only know if your file is reopened. Could be weeks or months, and only been 2 weeks.

The officer rejected on LMIA bases when i’m an IEC candidate ( working holiday) we are LMIA exempt

If you have an IEC work permit , which in itself is an open work permit, why are you applying for an LMIA

i did not but the officer did not process my papers as an IEC i just got a new passport and i wanted the remaining months, but the officer mentioned LMIA.

Also do you know if MPs can help with this situation

No MPs cannot help but can find out if file reopened, which you can do by calling. When did you submit your paper application with IM 5710

When did you expect to have an IEC work permit until? The issue is that has your current permit expired and if less than 6 months that you were going to get added, they may not process.

Again no timelines for reconsideration so wait. Only has been 2 weeks. Sometimes it takes at least 30 days for reconsideration request to link to your original application. Since you applied via paper then may take longer since no an online application. Officer has to review a paper format.

it way more than 6 months, i only received it for 3 months so i do have 12+ months.

Ok. So you wait to see what happens. You would have included your health insurance for the duration of what the work permit should have been approved until so 2 years.

yes i submitted everything the way they need on july 3 anyways.
