Hi anyone recently given citizenship test within a month please share your experience
what time the test was?
were you with or withour RQ?
how did the interview go and what they usualy check and ask
What original documents are being asked at interview

my test was on June 26th at 10am
no RQ
test was easy, if you read the book you will be fine, I tried free online practice tests
done test in 5-10 minutes
waited for more than 1.5 hrs for my name to be called for the interview
officer asked for pr card, copr, passport, checked passport stamps
asked if I am working, what work, where do I work, what was my previous work
asked if I have criminal record
asked if I have family in Canada
done interview in 5 minutes

Pie_Vancouver, I have a question regarding your passport. I read one of your previous posts (agh! Don't remember the thread now) and you mentioned that your passport had expired. From what you wrote I understood you didn't manage to renew it. I might be (hopefully not!) facing a similar dilemma. Did you have any problems during your interview? That is if you had the expired passport with you only... Thanks

My son only had his expired passport with him as he never bothered to renew. There was no point as he wasn't going anywhere.

It didn't seem to be a problem. When you renew a UK passport they cut the corner of the old one so it is clear that he hadn't renewed his old one.

my test was in missaussauga on september 30th. test was easy , the interview was short and nice.
I got RQ in june and it was evaluated before the interview

novembre2013 thanks for update. did you got oath notice same day or your RQ is still under process. also one more thing can you tell us what was reason for RQ and what did the officer ask at the test date during interview

I got the oath notice same day; I took my oath today. For the RQ, I dont know why I received it since I travelled only twice and worked for the same boss since 2008... but I've stopped working since last year to stay with my baby.
the officer asked me about the reason I stopped working and how do I support my self, if my husband and kid are canadians; when have I arrived in canada ; where have I landed (airport); my status back then; what are my plan in the future ; where do I live
I think that was it
my RQ was next to him and I could see someone's handwriting on it.
then he told me my test result and gave me the notice to appear to take the oath

When I called Aug 2014 to ask for the oath date. the agent told me that my file was approved since July 17th and reviewing the RQ papers. After a month I got the invitation letter

it took me 10 months and 16 days from Application to Oath with RQ
