receiving PPR for inland application while traveling out of canada

Hi everyone,

I have applied inland under expressEntry CEC class and I just received the PPR request. However, my wife traveled last week and she is out canada for a month. Can I ask her to send her passport and photograph by courier so I can send the required docs to ottawa and get the PR confirmation and visa??

You can contact IRCC and ask for an extension, that way you can send your passports when your wife get's back.

You can also do it your way, but not all couriers will ship passports or ID and if it gets lost on the way back to your wife you'll have some explaining to do with IRCC...

If there is a Canadian embassy/consulate/HC where your wife currently is, you can request Ottawa to have her visa stamped there. You can send yours to Ottawa. Assuming you are the primary applicant, she can't have hers stamped before yours, however, plus she can't make her landing before you do. If she is the primary applicant, then it's the reverse.

The extension request might be the safest option though, and they will grant it as it's a valid reason.
