Hello All,

My in-laws got approved for super visa, however, due to some severe personal issues they won't be able to submit their passports now. The circumstances changed after they received their PPR.

Does anyone know what happens if they don't submit their passports within the 30 day period? Would the application just remain in that state or would IRCC automatically refuse the application?

Can we update IRCC with the current financial and family situation after PPR and inform change of plans?

The catch is we paid for medical insurance for which we don't get a refund for withdrawal of application. A refund if only possible when rejection letter is submitted.

What are our options now?

Thank you

Try calling iRCC to find out. If you are in Canada, call them. If outside Canada, raise a case specific webform

When did they apply for super visa and when did they get approved?

I would contact IRCC and request a 60 extension for passport submission. Maybe that will give you enough time?

You won't be able to keep the application open forever. Sooner or later the application will be refused if you don't submit the passports and you'll need to reapply from scratch once your parents are in a different position. My guess is that you can probably stretch this as far as 90 days.

We don't want to apply for an extension because circumstances may not change. Can we share our current situation with IRCC through webform even though PPR has been issued or just let it sit until they reject automatically? We are hoping for a rejection letter to get refund from medical insurance.

They applied in Jan 2021, approved Jan 2022.

Yes contact IRCC via webform and you should get a refusal.
