Hello, I received my COPR today. (Yay! :))

On the instructions page it states,

"It is imperative that you inform us immediately if there has been or will be a change in your legal status or that of any depedant."

My wife is currently 6 months pregnant and she will be giving birth to our daughter in June.

We are currently in Canada and will be landing (re-entering at a port of entry) next week.

Do we have to make any changes to our application? I did send an email informing Buffalo-immigration.

My second question is, it says I can arrange and make an appointment with the Citizenship and Immigration office nearest to my place of

residence in Canada to obtain my PR.

Is this true? I do not have to re-enter Canada?

Q.1. Your wife is only 6 months pregnant and a child is not born or not expecting before your landing. Therefore, you don't worry about it. When your baby is born, he/she will be automatically a Canadian citizen by birth.

Q.2. You can complete the landing formalities at the nearest CIC office. Go with your COPR and passports. In addition you can also keep the evidence for your current status in Canada ( if asked, you can present).

Congrats vehementsnow for your PR and your upcoming baby! :D

Please keep us posted about your landing experience. I am also in Canada and waiting for my passport with visa to come back from NY visa office.

Good luck!
