Received email WITH content, but no update in my profile

Today in the morning I received an email saying that I need to send my passport to CIC, but there's no update in my online profile. This is regarding my FSW express entry application.

Is that ok ? did it happen before for anyone ?

Congrats!! Online profile won't change until they've rec'd your passport & photos and are ready to activate the return tracker on them.

Thank you so much for the response. Do you know how long does it take usually to receive back the passport ? do they stamp the landing visa inside the passport and return it back?

Right now its around 2 weeks after you send your passport, Yes they stamp your passport (If you are not from a visa exempt country).

Normal turnaround is 2 weeks. Not sure what type of stamp they put inside the passport, we are visa exempt and only have to send copies. They will return the passports with the 'Confirmation of Permanent Residency' (CoPR) documentation that you take with you for landing.
