Hi,

I submitted my application back in August. After submitting I started to panic that I had not signed the one of the forms and that the ink on the stamp on the photo might have got smudged. I was ready to redo and resend everything, but figured I'd wait for a rejection.

Today I got an email which says:
"This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canadian Citizenship. We will review your
application and supporting documents and will contact you if additional information is required."

Does this mean they have given it a check for completion? Could it still be the case that they reject it because I forgot to sign or date something?

Thanks

This is AOR and its good for further processing.

What does AOR mean? Does it mean they have checked that I didn't forget to include anything and that I signed everything?

Acknowledgement of Receipt. Yes, it means your application is complete and will not be returned for incompleteness.

which form didn't you sign it?

I probably did, I just worried that I might have missed a signature on one of the many forms.

It means your application has everything according to the check list and your application forms are filled in according to the main guide instructions and signed properly.

Now they will initiate the background and security checks. If all goes well, then you may get test invite as next step.

Depending on individual file (case by case), few may also get the finger print request. This will not delay the process at all. It's just another step in the background check for few applicants. That's it.

After test, interview and Oath. Good luck!
