Received 2nd Acknowledgment letter

I received 2nd Acknowledgment letter within 10days. Visa office issued a new file number for me for future communication. They will inform me if they start processing. If I am not eligible they will also inform me. By the way, I went to check my status on line but there is no updates.

Any body suggest me what next steps they will do now and how long time it can be taken?

How was your acknowledgement letter sent ?email or post?where is your visa office?I think you should be able to check your status online via ecas.I still haven't got any acknowledgement letter 3 weeks after submitting my documents but my ecas status was recently updated

You can go the cic web site home page on right side navigation there is a link to "check application status"
Provide the immigration file number and othe rpersonal info to check the status
