Reason To Request Fast Tracked Citizenship Application - ATTN: RAJKAMALMOHANRAM/EXPERTS

Good Afternoon All, Happy Saturday hope all are enjoying the weekend!

Was just having a think and thought I would ask the experts if this is a reason to initiate fast track a citizenship application request.

Summary: Worked in the Corporate Accounting Dept of a large restaurant company and lost my job (a week ago) after just over 3.5 years as a lot of the restaurants I did the accounting for were closing or 'closed' due to the operating conditions from the pandemic.

1) I have been applying for jobs with little success (Applications sent: 65 Job Interviews: 4)
2) In this regard I am considering some Finance & Tax positions within the CRA and a couple of other government agencies
3) The roles are only open to Canadian citizens

Questions:
1) Is this a 'legitimate' reason to FastTrack an application (via WebForm)?
2) If Yes; can you please inform what documents I will need?
3) Anything else I need to consider?

Like to hear from everyone (in particular rajkamalmohanram) on this.

If no, good luck. I tried same approach and it did not work

Hi No, I have not applied for the job as of yet. It specifically states that "only Canadian citizens will be considered for this posting".

Hence I was thinking that my application would be rejected straight away (even if I applied)?

Based on the experiences of others on this forum, you generally need to have a conditional job offer in hand in order for IRCC to consider the expedite. You can still try, but be prepared for IRCC not to consider your request.

Yes, I know that's what the job postings say.

Was just answering the question about whether IRCC will consider your expedite request or not. As I said in my previous post, you can certainly try.

Just to add, you should try applying for jobs with the big banks. Lots of finance jobs there.
