Dear all,

I was about to send my application according to the documents sequence of the checklist of CIO, then I came also across the checklist of London visa office which indicated a totally different sequence of documents. one example is, ICO asks for payment form as number 6, while London ask for it as the last documents. Both of these check lists ask to arrange the forms and documents according to and as indicated in their lists and to put their checklist as a cover page. This only confuse the applicant about which chick list to use as a cover page and follow the list.

Not only that but also, CIO asks for copy of principal applicant only, while London asks for the spouse and the children as well.

I thought of taking your opinion about the documents arrangement before I submit my application.

Kind regards

Hello Hondubai,

Welcome to the forum :)

Yes, there are a few confusing parts and we have all gone through it with the help of very good members here 8) 8).

1. You will have to have the CIO checklist as the front page of your application package. Arrange WHATEVER papers are asked in the CIO checklist in order after that. That's the first bunch :P :P :P

2. Next, take the VO specific checklist and then arrange the documents as asked in the VO checklist. In case of an overlap, like IELTS, please include the documents in CIO checklist and indicate that you have included the IELTS original in the CIO bunch in the VO checklist. As for passport copies, CIO checklist will contain the principal applicant's BIO data pages only as asked. VO specific checklist will contain ALL pages of passports(not sure what your VO asks for) for PA, Spouse & children.

3. So, CIO bunch will have ALL the asked documents and VO will have all the documents, without the overlapping documents, but you will have to check the boxes of ALL the documents that you are enclosing in both the checklist. Not that you are enclosing the IELTS in the CIO bunch, you don't have to check the box in the VO checklist.

Sorry if my reply is confusing :-[ :-[. Please feel free to ask more questions. Also, you may want to join this thread which is specifically for the post June 26 applicants. You will find ALL the answers there :P :P :P

This thread was started with the idea of promoting "DOs & DONTs-POST 26 June 2010" & not to start a discussion over any specific NOC Codes etc.
Doing this way deviates us from its real objective...to bring small & even last minutes cross checks, which, if neglected may prove fatal.

Kindly stick to heading of thread and post relevant stuff only.

regards

@ Rana,
I agree. For this particular reason I visited this thread just after it was created by you.
Even I have sent my application , I would like to share anything come to my mind so that other may not do last minute mistakes in their application package. such as signing..writing name behind photos, dates, address etc etc..
Besides , if our application got accepted by the mercy of almighty, then untill we reach our final goal there may come many points to discuss.
So let's keep our objective right.
We invite all to come and share their opinion regarding "DOs & DONTs-POST 26 June 2010"

With all the best.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Thank you for your kind reply and for your clear statements. All are very useful.
May I just review what I understood to be sure that I perceived it correctly. So I will arrange it this way:
1- checklist of ICO followed by IMM0008, Schedule 1, schedule 3, Additional family information, fees form and all other documents required in order clipped to the the cio checklist.
2-checklist of VO with all ckeckboxes are checked.
3-The remaining documents which didn't come in the first bunch, clipped to VO checklist.

Thanks again for your nice post :)

1. Yes, you are right :)
2. Yes, For that matter, both checklists are to be considered. You need to check ALL appropriate boxes in both the checklists
3. One more time, CIO checklist will have ALL documents asked for in it, clipped to it. VO checklist will have all the documents asked for in it, minus the overlapping documents like payment and IELTS, which are to be clipped to the CIO checklist.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I was also curious to ascertain, where to clip my IELST result?
With this reply from Indra, it clear to attach IELTS result with CIO.

Rest all is simple and straight forward.
Even small things matters & when it comes to major matters concerning one's future, nothing is small or trivial.

:):) Yes, CIO will have the IELTS to it's bunch :D

Indira Prabhakaran.

During last minute checks, I found couple of signature missing, not in the application but in payment form and explanation letter......

Final scanning, especially of signatures and date is critical.

@ Rana,
Hello there friend.
I was looking for youto inform that my CC has been charged on 29th OCT.
They recived my appl. on 22nd OCT.
Pray, so the rest goes O.K. for me.
One thing I realized after sending my appl. is that my job reference letter is not up to dated.
I hope they wont make big problem for me.

Fingers crossed.

Hi EnvioZA
Great news and I hope you'll keep hearing good news on your case.

You said CIO received your application on 22nd Oct. So when did you send it?
Does CIO sends some acknowledgment upon receiving one's application like an e-mail or letter?

I sent my application just last Friday by UPS from Bangkok (Thailand) and I am sure that CIO will get my application with in this week.

Lets hope for the best.!!
regards

If you are sending from the UAE, Aramex is quite efficient.
