Hi Gents,

I have a small query about entering timeline to Canada.

My application has been approved and we have received the visas for our passports. As my wife is South Korean national, she hasn't been issued a sticker in her passport (with comment on the envelope stating that she doesn't need any visa to enter to Canada), but we got our COPR papers.

My wife's passport is expiring on 20 Oct 2016 and due to completion of my current assignment, our plan to move to Canada is like mid-May or mid-June 2016.

My questions is, should we follow any deadline such "you need to enter to Canada at least 6 months before your passport expiry" for entering to Canada to preventing any possible issue during our immigration process? Or is it okay to enter like 4 months before her passport expiry?

Long story short, as long as our visa is valid, at least how many months before the expiry of passports we should enter to Canada?

Kindly note that deadline for our visas to enter Canada is end of July 2016.

Thanks in advance for your advise
Dear All,

Do you think should I enter to Canada 6 months before passport expiry or is it okay to enter when there is still 4 months till passport expiry? (Visa will be valid by that time)

Thanks in advance

Hi there,
adults will have their blood and urine samples taken for HIV and other infectious diseases, their blood pressure will be also measured, chest X-Ray will be conducted and they would need to answer questions regarding any previous operations or any drug intake history.

As for the kids, if they are older than 6 years I think they will simply have their urine samples taken, along with blood pressure measurement.

No need to reschedule medical because of the flu!

Friends,

I need your help in understanding what CIC wants from me :)

Below is an email I received on November 27, 2015:
REQUEST FOR SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS

This letter is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

WHY ARE YOU RECEIVING THIS LETTER?

Your file will be reviewed now to assess your admissibility and eligibility. Some documents need to be updated before a review can take place.

WHAT ARE WE REQUESTING?

- Completion of the medical examination for yourself, your spouse and your dependent children

o The required forms with detailed instructions will be sent to you by a separate e-mail

- Payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee for yourself and your spouse, if it has not already been paid. The amount is $ 490 CAD per person.

o Instructions on how to make the payment can be found here: canadainternational.gc.ca/poland-pologne/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS?

You must send all documents together in one package. Our mailing address can be found at the bottom of this page. Please write your file number on the outside of the envelope and on the cover letter that will accompany your documents.

You have thirty (30) days to submit the documents.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?

If your documents are not submitted within thirty days, your application will be reviewed and the lack of updated documents is likely to lead to a refusal.

If you submit your documents within thirty days, they will be reviewed by an officer to assess your admissibility and your eligibility. Some cases require more in-depth review to assess the admissibility: additional information, additional medical examination or an interview could be required. The assessment of the admissibility is a step that requires more time, please wait six months from the date of the submission of your documents before contacting us for a status update.

Sincerely,

I already made RPRF payment, after receiving confirmation decided to check with CIC and asked whether I should email or send the payment receipt via regular post. They responded in 5 days:
Dear Applicant,

Proof of RPRF payment can be sent via e-mail.

Today I had my medical exam and received eMedical information sheets for my kids. So, what do you guys think, should I simply send these eMedical sheets to Warsaw via regular mail?

Something is telling me that this line about submitting documents in instruction doesn't apply to me.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!!

Please go ahead and forward the receipt of your RPRF payment to your VO with a cover letter informing them that you have completed your medicals. You can also send them scanned copies through CSE apart from sending by courier.

Thanks for a quick response, I already forwarded my RPRF payment receipt via email, are you suggesting that I should also mail it to my VO along with eMedical information sheets?
