Hi Forum mates!

Here is an urgent and quick query.
I had two lines updated in my ECAS as of now.
We received your file on July 9, 2014.
We started processing on Jan14, 2015

Now there is a change in second line's date ( it is now showing processing started on october 29, 2014.).

What does it mean?
Has it ever happened with anybody in forum. ?
Please guide me on this.

My qstn is my passport is going to expire on 26 sept 2016
I have taken the appoitment for renewing my passport.
Should i update this to vo when i recve the updated passport?
And if in the mean time they asked for PPR what should i do? Should i send the old passport?

Inform VO after getting updated passport.

If you get PPR meanwhile then inform your VO immediately about your passport renewal appointment.
They will extend your required timeline.

Don't submit your old passport because it will expire when you will be in Canada in any case and then you will need to renew your passport while in Canada.

Remember that PR card is associated with your valid passport only.

We received your application for permanent residence on July 30, 2014.
We started processing your application on January 21, 2015.

The below status was updated on Sep 28 2015 .I was confused as the dates mentioned were Feb 19

We transferred your application to the New Delhi office on November 25, 2014. The New Delhi office may contact you.
We sent you correspondence on February 19, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
We sent you medical instructions on February 19, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Then attorney received email that it was cancelled on Sep 30 2015 and today following line was updated

We sent you correspondence on September 30, 2015 about the decision on your application.

ECAS status was not updated until this monday . Can this be provided as a point towards re opening the case. But I am not sure how to prove this.

Contact ashif_ee , he had similar situation with sgvo and he sent an email to them explaining he never received any medical email, they considered his request and sent him medical again......

My question is

If wife and husband are traveling together, each carrying CAD 7500. Do we need to declare that.

As the cash for both together will become CAD 15000.

Dear all,

I have applied from Japan and Manila VO is handling the file. Recently I got PPR. I am wondering how to send passport to manila from Japan. Is it safe to send it by DHL or any other courier service. Is it not against any rule/law to send passport from one to another country? Need some advice.
