Think before landing here....Do your enquires before landing, esp for IT people. Unlike US jobs are few and pay is less.
Not discouraging but putting out facts, u can be jobless for a while so plan for it. There r lot of people who suffered and went back with out a proper after a year or so, if u do not have family 2 support it is fine, but if u have family nd kids to support plan very carefully. Things can be quite tough here..

Hello mates,

I sent my proof of finances around 15 lacs. But soon after I applied in october 2014 it has increased to 50 lacs. I mean for last 11 months i have 5 million fixed in my account. Do i have to SHOW proof that from where I got extra 35 lacs or their source of origin. I am worried because my interview is due in October.

Your replies will be appreciated.

Take a fresh 1 year statement October 2014 to October 2015, if possible with the new amount of 35 lac included.
Or if you can take a proof of source (as a precaution)(receipt etc).
They are not concerned as long as its in your name for a year !
Otherwise they could have also asked for the source of the initial 15 lac !
The amount they want is as mentioned per number of applicants in the application, as long as its above that, its good.
Though it should not be recently in your name.
As long as the initial amount is covering there requirements, it's OK.

My take on this:
I don't believe sending PR card by courier is illegal. It is not mentioned as illegal anywhere - at least I have not been able to find any official statement to this effect. CIC not posting it outside Canada - that could have other reasons like they will have to charge differently for sending to different places. Plus logistics issues.

That said using courier has its risks - which are same for any item couriered- like lost in transit, damaged etc.

DHL has no special service for PR cards.

Very rightly said it.
Though courier guys try to avoid such items as cards and passports. Its not prohibited !
Like US embassy uses only FedEx, the Canadian embassy uses Aramex (via VFS as well),
and similarly many other embassies do so.

For CIC to give/issue PR cards, you need to do your Landing...
b'cause of many reasons (including proven funds into Canada, plus 1 yr expiry of medicals) etc etc.....

Hope this clears doubts.

Hi Indocan56,

While applying for online PCC in Delhi, you must have taken an appointment for any of the Delhi PSK's. Although an appointment is not essential for PCC and you can directly walk-in to the PSK as well.

If your present address is the same as that in your valid passport, the PCC will be issued on the same day. In case of a change in address, there might be re-verification done.

I did my medicals on 19th of Sept. However, it doesnt say that they have received my medicals.
