Dear Raphael,

I know it's too frustrating, that's why I thought to write in this forum of my experience.

I completed everything including MR, the VO seems to be very nice and replied to my queries well, though I was very brief and communicated as less as possible to not waste their time. VO clarified, it's PCC and the background check, clearing that part will take time, avg 1-4 months but they can't confirm. If you have followed the forum well, will notice, before this security checks there are many other checks which fall under background check are conducted by the VO. And all these are conducted through 3rd parties with no clear timeline. All depends on individual's own record of travel, work, country of residence and some cases nationality.

So in your case I can tell, may be these checks are taking time, you've asked for GCM notes, perhaps these were early, things may started taking shape after that. So I suggest you send this PCC now, after that again request for the GCM notes.

Wishing you best of luck my brother.

+1 to You.

I will be starting the process of getting PCC from Monday onwards and submit it at the earliest, hopefully by end of next week. Wish you too an early processing.

thanks for the reply sir , but my question is in case i renewed it and PPR received so is it will be an issue for NDVO as my passport details will change . What will be the effect if I submit a renewed passport with new nos.

It will not be an issue. Just renew it and send renewed passport copy to ur visa officer

Hello All,

One of my friend has been asked for birth certificate at the time of MR. Now he has one but it doesn't have his name so its more or like same as he doesn't have birth certificate, anyone advise on what can be done.

I got my passport request today! :))))))

I have a question here! I applied as single in July 2014.

I am now getting married in December which I can do earlier in court.

1) First I want to know what is the process to add spouse? If I get married in court now I will have marriage certificates and documents. But do I need all the documents like ECA and IELTS for my spouse too which will take 2 - 3 months?

2) What is better to have my marriage now and have her added OR do I go and land and come back and get married and sponsor her a wife? For sponsor do I need to show taxes and employment in Canada or can I just sponsor her anyway having my PR card?

3) is there anyone who added his spouse after getting MR or PPR and tell me how long did it take to process application and what documents were required?

Bro u shud have planned it accordingly but anyways now as u also know there r two options either marry before u land and inform visa officer that u married now and ur file will again go into process and ur visa will be cancelled and reissued along with addition of ur spouse but it may take upto 3-4 months from documents submission. U need nikkah namma, and passport, id card, birth certificate and police certificates of ur spouse. No need for ECA or ielts. But u will have to show updated avaiable funds as per new family composition

Second option is to land alone and come back and get married but beware that is lengthy process and u will need to sponsor her for that u need to have a job in canada and it may take u more than a year to bring her to canada

So decide wisely and timely to do the needful

U must apply now. Renew passport right now instead waiting further. Get the appointment and as I know there is no appointment for children below 12 years so better u should get this done now and it will arrive to u in next 15 days which will really help u to travel anytime before ur visa expiry or else it would be tough time if u will not renew and do it at last moment. Go ahead fill the form right now

thanks for the reply Waiting Winni , I will try to get NEW PP but i am afraid to interuppt normal process so i m thinking abt submitting new passport along with old passport without informing NDVO .

ECA and IELTS for spouse required only if you want to claim points for him/her. Since you already have the required 67 or more, there is no need.
VO will ask for passports, photos, marriage certificate, birth certificate, some proof of marriage like pics etc and additional fees.

2) What is better to have my marriage now and have her added OR do I go and land and come back and get married and sponsor her a wife? For sponsor do I need to show taxes and employment in Canada or can I just sponsor her anyway having my PR card?

I personally feel adding her now is the right thing. Your application will be on hold for another 6 months may be, but far more easier and less painful than sponsoring her later.

3) is there anyone who added his spouse after getting MR or PPR and tell me how long did it take to process application and what documents were required?

I added my wife, but a month before MR. Docs I have mentioned above already. For us, the application was delayed by just a week overall. But I was a bit lucky as I had more than required docs and proof, plus I was already able to sponsor a German Visa for my wife by then. As my file was at Vienna, which culturally is more or less Germany, it did not take long for them to verify my wife's credentials. Once again, she did not have to get ECAS or IELTS done. I provided marriage certificate, photographs, passport, birth cert and my registration letter from Germany which clearly stated that as per German govt. records, my status was married.

Yes there will be no issue and why there would be? And m sure NDVO itself will intimate u before issuing PPR to renew it so be proactive and do it before hand and forward copies to NDVO

Friends,

It's time for us to have a separate forum page for NDVO processing / processed applications as I can see not much happening in this page. Let me know how to create it or otherwise create one as below.

FSW 2014 NDVO Processing / Processed Applications

Hi Experts,

Need your help.

I have received the following reply from NDVO. I have not sent any documents to them nor have they requested for any documents.
Did anyone get this kind of email from NDVO, if yes, what happened next.

"We have received the requested information/documents and your application is ready for final review. At this point there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be informed accordingly."

Please let me know, what should I expect next.

CAN WE RENEW A PASSPORT JUST AFTER PPR AS IN PPR MAIL WE GET THE INSTRUCTION THAT PASSPORT MUST BE VALID FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS . NOW I M WAITING FOR PPR AND MY SON'S PASSPORT ABOUT TO EXPIRE IN 7 MONTHS . SO , SHOULD I WAIT FOR ONE MORE MONTH BECAUSE IF PPR COMES IN THIS PERIOD THEN IT CAN BE RENEWED LATER BUT IF IT GOT LATE THAN WHAT WILL BE THE STEPS TO FOLLOW . BASICALLY WHAT IF RENEW A PASSPORT AFTER PPR .

THANK IN ADVANCE
It just takes 10 working days to get new passport from psk. So you can go for it now. And you will have sufficient time to submit to vsf.

Hi thanks for your help!

But points were calculated based on me being single. Will not it reduce my points if I do not claim hers with me?
