Hi All,
I am very happy to inform that today morning I have received PPR mail from DELHIIMMIGRATION where they asked for passport, photographs and some additional information for applicant and co-applicants. However I just checked ECAS status, it is still "In Process" and 4th line is not there.
Just wanted to know if any one else experienced the same. Thanks in advance .

I just came from sbi nri branch in Ahmedabad, I went there to inquire about my dd, I asked them if dd is encashed or not, they said we don't know status of dd...we don't have any clue how to check it...

I think the SBI guys are just bul sh**** to you about the whole thing that they dont know how to check.

I took my DD from SBI Trivandrum on Mar 23rd and i approached them on April 17th asking them the status of the same. They initially asked me why i would want to know as it is a confirmed mode of payment. I told them the reason. They called up the manager and asked him he said go ahead and disclose it no issues.

The officer there told me the time and date it was encashed, it was encashed on April 16th at 1:44 P.M. Totally it took 5 mins.

Meet the manager of the bank tell them the reason why you would like to know about the DD am sure he will ask the officer to help you out

Just submitted my passport to vfs Ahmedabad. 579 Rs charged + 342 to courier back to home...

For those who are thinking of opening a bank account with Scotia bank, I had applied online on April 22nd (pretty straightforward if you have your COPR / Passort details with you). I got the account opening confirmation with details on how to transfer money using SWIFT code on 6th may in harcopy through postal mail. Overall, a hassel-free experience till now.

Will keep you guys posted on actual transfer and account activation formalities.
