Hello mates,

I have applied for the visa through a consultant. When asked for update, below is his response. To me it looks like he is giving me wrong information just to keep me at bay. Do you agree and should I counter question him on it.

Secondly, consultant has given his email id for communication, is it possible to update my email id for communication, just to remove any dependency from consultant? And, is it advisable?

As of now we have not received any updates on your file, since the processing time has increased (4-6 months)

Looks like the response is a generic one for everyone who send him an enquiry

If you want to update email address. Send a cse to NDVO. They may ask you to send an update generic form (IMM0008ENU_2D)

Guys,

I have submitted my passports at VFS Chandigarh for stamping. Today got the msg from VFS stating that my passports have been submitted to Canada Visa Office, Chandigarh. Sholdn't it be going to NDVO instead of CVO - Chandigarh?

Please advise is it right or I need to contact VFS for this..??

Dont worry about it. It will be forwarded to NDVO for stamping.

Hi, Dear Friends. I am suffering with agony. My 2nd line update was in Dec'14 as "WE STARTED PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION".

Actually on Jan 9th'15 I'v received request mail from NDVO for RPRF & MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS. Medical results were done on Feb 9th and uploaded the Upfront results by CMM, Hyderabad on Feb 12th'15. Well within 45 days I've paid my RPRF in 2 installments via DD due to my misunderstanding. They have sent both the DD'S and stated that "In-order to continue processing of the application, please send us the full amount". Here in the checklist where they have ticked, they have not mentioned the last date to send the DD. This means I can send with no time restriction ? i.e., after a week or so. Just like I did?. So, I sent my DD of Rs. 53,400/- on Mar 3rd and it was received on 4rt March'15. This DD they have received after 45 days only. So, is this is a real problem for me. What might have happened. Why there is no update on medicals? If we pay RPRF or get medicals done, is that mean we are through and virtually landed in Canada? Is there any need to worry now. I found through KOTAK bank, the DD was encashed on 11th MAR'15 and why I' not received any update in ECAS or mail. Please help me on this.

Dont worry Anil as long as they enchased RPRF its fine. As far as medicals goes it should be updated once IO pass your medicals and one more thing dont rely too much on ecas as so many forum members reported errors with that.

My friend,

I can understand your anxiety. There has been a delay for applicants who had done their medicals upfront in getting 3rd line update.

All i can say is contact NDVO through CSE requesting update on your medicals.

Note : From what i believe, If NDVO needs something they will contact you through mail or in some cases, through phone.

Congratulations Buddy on MR !!! generally around 30 - 45 days from 3rd line for PPR

Looks like it takes 1 month for lucky ones and minimum 2 months to max 3 months for others

Interesting trend is people in last 2 months have got well within 2 months of med request date .
