Need help about landing proof of funds. I am late for opening Scotia Bank account and considering Travellers Cheque option to carry funds from India. However, checked with Axis Bank & HDFC - they have stopped issuing TCs as a global access card (pre loaded with CAD) are nowadays commonly used.

Question- will immigration officer at Port of Entry accept the card (with account statement) as proof of funds?

I have 2 passports.
When sending the passports to NDVO for stamping do I need to send both the passports ( old + current )
or do I need to just send the current passport ?
Please advice ?

Have you travelled or work in more than one country?
Did you apply for GCMS? I think you should immediately apply for the same if you haven't.

I have received an email from DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca stating there was mismatch of answers between u and your employer..I have prepared a file which includes all the supporting documents and answers.I have one question should I send hard copy or soft copy ...If hard copy ,then can u please message me the address as where documents r to be send...

Dear Micky,

I suggest that you post the mail from NDVO removing UCI no., Application no. etc.....This will help forumites to understand the situation well and advise you in a better way.

Some senior member this week only mentioned that both the passports are required to be sent........

In your case you didn't the old one?

Ratan | always keep it simple and neat for these visa guys,
Do not sent any unnecessary documents until asked for. OLD PP as per the norms are not valid at all, as there is an expiry date always pasted. Moving outside the country should always carry a valid National ID with valid period of time. So i did the same kept the old one with me. Just had send the new one and see here i am in canada. enjoying morning tea.

That's completely unnecessary. A passport is required to affix counterfoil, which can't be done in case of expired document.

I was just reading the posts in other Forums and there has been different opinions that the Background & Criminality checks are done before or after 2nd line update....Please shower some light on this.......My 2nd line already got updated and awaiting MR......So my background/Criminal check is over...How much time for MR.....
