Yes NDVO won't proceed on two separate activities parallelly. Whenever you add/remove a member from the application the VO does put it on hold till all formalities are complete. I sailed in the same boat, received MR for me and my wife on 10th feb, then I submitted my child's docs in April and recently on 14th May i received MR for my child. Till then I received no PPR. Now I am going to submit my child's MR receipts soon and then I expect NDVO will take the process forward towards PPR. Such delays are irritating but thats how things work at NDVO.

By the way what's TLU and what security checks are you talking about?

Dear Fourumites,

Today I had couriered my new born daughter's documents to the NDVO. My TLU was on March 27, 2015 (Exactly 60 days today).

My Queries are :

1. After approx. how many days will I get the PPR Request
2. Till the time my daughter's MR is not with NDVO, won't it initiate the security checks for me as it normally does after TLU of a person.
3. If it does not, that means do I need to wait for another 45-60 days for my PPR to reach me ?

Totally confused as someone told me that NDVO doesn't take things in parellel and it will only commence the security checks once it gets the MR for all the applicants

Kindly help

Glad to inform you all that day before yesterday I received golden mail of PPR. I am very thankful to the Canadavisa web portal establishers, forum initiators and all active and passive members of the forum for making this tough path easier. My timelines are as follows:

Hi Experts,

I need help badly. I have lost hope completely.

I dont know what to do,
Application recvd - 13th June 2014
PER - 15th Oct 2014
2nd Line update - 17th Nov 2014

Post which have not heard a word. Applied for the GCMS notes.
It said the file is under mis-representation verification since 17th Nov 2014.
Does it take more than six months for the verification?

Till date no answer to any of my emails or e-cas. What do I do?
I am feeling completely lost.

Ur going thru the wait which everyone dreads of.....Sympathise with u buddy....

Imp. thing to rembr is ur not alone, there are many more like u...and once ur thru verification, ur next steps would likely be processed faster...
Unfortunately, NDVO while replying to CSEs raised by other members like 'tomsp', (in a similar situation to u) has given a generic reply like this-

"Under Canada's immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case."

To pass through this agonising wait I suggest-

a. Keep ur spirits up....this is a must :)..Try to disengage from this forum for a while, forget this entire process, focus on enjoying normal life...Just be confident that the application will go thru eventually and u will land in Canada sometime in future..and keep praying
b. Join a Watsapp grp of similar applicants where u can discuss updates...Contact 'indresh83' to join...
c. W8 for a few more days, then consider doing Upfront Meds...This would reduce the MR results receipt time when VO finally issues Meds...
d. Apply for a 2nd set of GCMS Notes....It's probable u can see the next due date on ur file....U can then get an idea of the estimated time when ur file would move and expect updates...
e. Be on alert for telephonic/ physical verification at ur workplace...Keep ur references informed...

Good luck...And hope u get MR soon.!!! cheers!!

Guys,

I have sent my MR receipt, RPRF receipt, PCC & Pasport bio pages to NDVO on May 4th....

My Question is how can I confirm that they have received it. Is there any contact number to check???...

Checked with Bludart courier and they given the POD mentioned as "STAMP".

Please advise....

There isn't any contact number to check...

U can contact Bluedart to provide u the soft copy of POD...They will give u the Delivery Run sheet which will show that ur consignment was received with CHC, Delhi Stamp...as in the paper will show the actual stamp made and the dates...That is good enough as a proof...:)

It's a matter of queuing of files..and preparing a mail batch..There's no criteria as such...DM as 4th line means ur file is finalized and ur Visa is issued already..:)

From GCMS I know, that the file for NDVO has to move to a Dept. called 'ECU-Issued' which then sends the actual PPR mail...

The record for PPR after DM on this forum is 60 days... ;D..But most ppl get PPR on the same day or within a week...Some even get before DM...Although at this point, I think there's a batch of ppl who got DM in early May and r still waiting for PPR (including u)..dunno why they are piling up the files...maybe they are doing it NOC-wise

Anyways, u will get it soon for sure...just relax and enjoy the w8 ;)

Hi Guys...

NOW ECAS IS SHOWING BELOW 5th LINE

You entered Canada at the P.E. Trudeau International Airport office on May 20, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident.

This forum helped me a lot and I cant stop sharing my landing experience with all of you. My experience might help few confused people like me.

I was fsw 2014 and I landed in Montreal Canada on 20th May. I bought a ticket to Toronto via Montreal, Toronto was my landing point and layover was of 1 hour 25 minutes via lufthansa and Air Canada.

First step, went to the queue of Visitors with further connections row for CBSA counter for making the entry, where we declared the 15000 CAD in form of traveller's cheque and Cash.

Then they asked us to goto a imigration section on the below floor, where officer took our passports and COPR letters of my family. Then they asked us to wait for some time. My connecting flights were very close by and eventually we missed it but the officer told me there is nothing he can do only Air Canada people might help with that. It took around 2 hours to get called our name for further processes like delivery address for PR card and they gave a booklet of welcome to canada to us. After 15-20 minutes officer stamped our COPR letters and told us the procedure has been completed. I couldn't find services canada counter there so I moved ahead to Air Canada counter, told them about the missed connection to Toronto, then they issued two new tickets on last flight to Toronto free of charge.

And I was on my way to Toronto,

Next day went to Services Canada office at Downtown for getting my sin number issued. It took around 45 mins to called our number , met an officer and they issued sin number in plane papers in 15 mins.

So people can land in any place in Canada and complete landing procedure including Quebec. And Sin can be issued at airport before 6pm after that you can visit any services canada office nearby to get the sin number.

Congratulations!!!..Ur post is going to be bookmarked :)

Until now, the standard advice on the forum has been 'You can land anywhere except Quebec'....ur experience shows otherwise....This means 'We can land anywhere including Quebec to complete landing procedures but (I assume) the address for PR card should be non-Quebec'

Just one question, you were posting on the forum a few days back abt carrying POF in CAD...so u converted the entire amount to CAD?? And where did u buy Traveler's cheque- Thomas Cook or anywhere else?..Just for info...

+1 for sharing ur exp....

Thx arkscan for the info.. it's like pain relief..
I am facing same situation DM was on 8 may since then no update...
+1 for u..
