Hi, i received my medical yesterday. My wife is 3 months pregnant and we have not yet declared it in our visa file. what should be the next process. please guide.

Hi Bro,

Firstly congratulations. Your case is similar to mine. However, I informed NDVO via CSE immediately when the pregnancy was confirmed and asked NDVO on the way forward. That time I had received MR for both of us. NDVO responded and asked both of us to proceed for medicals. Denied Xray for my wife during medicals and hence her medicals was put on hold by PP and they issued Pregnancy CXR deferral letter. Now we are waiting for delivery and will inform NDVO via CSE again for inclusion of additional family member and will take it forward from there.

I received the medical request last week and i sent the medical tracking sheet to Warsaw via courier along with PCC, RPRF receipt and Passport copy today.

My doubt is that whether there is any harm if i sent these documents by Email as well. I have the scanned copy of all these docs i sent as hardcopy.

Looking for your responses.

* they accepted my PCC which was 5 months old
* although I asked for my visa to be printed in KSA in my RPRF email. The PPR seems to be a standard email and it still asked me to send my passports to Ottawa
* my ECAS is still showing 3 lines

FBI clearance sent in Feb, Med done 4 Nov 2014 3rd line updated in Nov. Still Waiting for fourth line updates.

Here are the timeliness:

Application sent - 26 May
File accepted and transferred to NDVO - 19 Sep
Med request - 1 Nov
Med sent - 4 Nov (3rd line updated ) Indian PCC and Landing fees sent in Dec, Extension applied for FBI clearance and FBI send in Feb 2015.
Passport request - Still awaited.

can any one tell me how long it will take for passport request ?

I got my passports stamped with visa today... Cant believe it! It has been a long tough journey. I am happy that I passed through it... Thanks friends for being with me all through this journey!

I have one doubt. On the COPR document, there is a text which says "Not Valid for travel"..What does it mean? That text is a bit disturbing...Please enlighten me with the reason behind it.

Congratulations Buddy !!! That is perfectly normal for COPR. That is a Visa document. It is a confirmation of your Permanent residence in Canada. It cannot be used as a Travel document.

Hello Friends

After waiting patiently for the entire visa process to complete, I had another wait in store for me.

I wanted to wait and explore onshore opportunities within my current company in India.
For this, I gave myself time till next year March and then plan the next move.

I was planning to land in Toronto in September this year with family and complete all the process like application for PR card etc.

But now it seems, my current organisation is gearing up to send me onshore as they have asked me to submit all the visa related information I have.
As of now I have been confirmed that it wont be a long term assignment and the client location will be in Montreal, Quebec.

Now from what I know, I cannot do my first landing in Quebec. Is this understanding correct?
I just want to confirm from this forum that should I do landing in Toronto first and apply PR card and SIN in Ontario state and then subsequently travel to client location in Montreal.
I need to provide this information in my organisation so that things can be planned accordingly.

Looking forward to suggestion/advie from this wonderful forum and forumites.

Hi Amit,

Yes u need to do 1st landing in a place other than Quebec...so u can do the landing in Toronto, get ur PR Card, SIN Card, etc.. then move to Montreal....

Now, here comes the tricky part....Freedom of navigation allows u to work anywhere in Canada with the FSW PR Visa....but after 5 years, when u try to extend ur PR, if u have spent the entire time in Quebec, CIC will probably not renew ur PR Visa since u may be judged to have not met the residency obligations....See the posts below from Diplomatru->

is e-medical enabled or not. I'm not sure about Max Medcentre too, but their appointments are full for about next week. So, was thinking to get it done from the above mentioned centre.
