1) It will change to Decision Made soon

2 & 3) Yes, send a CSE to NDVO and also contact local Visa Office...u can even contact VFS Abu Dhabi- responses have been mixed....You can also contact forumites GRACEOFGOD, and nishesh3003 who were in a similar situation to you to see what they did..they have got their Visas stamped...

4) Photo requirements are given in the pdf link u shared

5) It says Passport OR Travel Document ..So for ur case, only Passport...and just the email printout will suffice as the letter...since they don't give it in pdf form...

Thnx Arkscan, I just called on Vfs Abu Dhabi Call Center lady said they cannot except my passport as i have to submit it to New Delhi Visa Office. I don't understand why she denied? They as such act like a courier service only so why she denied? She said if they get confirmation from my visa office then only she can accept my passport..can any one pls share your views?

Also can i just send my passport to my Home in Mumbai & they can courier it to New Delhi thru Vfs? But i guess it would be a risky affair isn't it?

Well the marriage certificate was registered with her new name.....i think its just the fact that one of the application forms has an entry where you fill whether you have used any other name and we entered that.....which is the reason why i think they are asking for it.

In my case, i had submitted an affidivit for my wife mentioning that all the name mentioned in various certificates and documents are of one and the same person

Yeah I sent her PCC (India) along with application and then second time when they requested again . . . . .

For some reasons they asked for her pcc from UK, when she hasnt visited UK ever (although, I lived in UK for about 4 years) . . .

God knows but this wait is killing me . . . .

I would like to ask a question on POF update by Visa Office.

If a Visa Office asked that a POF be updated, can anyone share what POF documents that will suffice?

Will stocks (shares), pension fund (retirement savings) suffice enough as POF at visa office?

NDVO should be able to accept the same. However, as these are very volatile NDVO might ask you to provide the latest statement. If I was you, I would move the funds to a BANK and get a FD(Fixed Deposit) for this amount. So that NDVO will not have any questions about the latest value of the FD.

As I am in the same case, its better to fly to Mumbai and do from there. Without passport you cant stay in UAE or any other country other than India. So better go to India and send to NDVO from there.
