It 64 days after the second line.... :-\ :-[ but there is no news of MR at all. .....loosing hopes day by day. .....I dont know what is ndvo doing with my application. ...just a linked in profile visit before second line n from then nothing atall.... :'( god hv some mercy pls and grant me MR and others who are waiting with me.....

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum, i couldn't find out where i should post this question, so I commented like this.

I applied on 24th August 2014 and my first line status states that they received application on 29th August 2014. Then my second line status states that they started processing on 25th February 2015. But after that there is no new updates or even medical request.

I understood from this forum that, medical request will send with the second line updates. If i correct, then what will be the issue.. could u please anyone help me to sort this out.

Hi, I have received MR and RPRF request. They have not asked any additional documents except PP bio pages, may be because I have already submit PCC along with application. I want to know, Once I will be through with medicals, there still may be chance that they can ask for more documents? If yes, when? Also, I am yet to complete my medical formalities, can i pay my RPRF fee online before that or there is a specific order we need to follow? Kindly answer..

Dear All,

I received MR + RPRF + PCC from High Commission of Canada from Colombo today in two different mails (One for MR and another one for RPRF + PCC) . Can you please help me for few queries on this.

1. I am having a kid of 3 Years but in mail it is not mentioned to pay the RPRF for my kid while mine and spouse names are mentioned to pay RPRF. Shall I pay RPRF for my kid as well. RPRF is not required for your 3 years kid. Pay for yourself and your spouse

2. For MR, I have received only one attachment for IMM1017 form (Only for my kid). Do I need to send a mail to CIC to get the PDF for me and my spouse? Few have received IMM forms later. wait for 48 hours. If you do not get the forms, Send a CSE

3. My spouse traveled to US and stayed there for more than six months. So as per mail I need to provide PCC from INDIA and US for my spouse. I have already made a request in Jan for PCC from FBI. But I could not receive the PCC yet from FBI. I am having PCC from respective states. Will that work? As per mail "Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate." For India, Submit PCC for yourself and your spouse. Inform VO about the FBI PCC delay and they will grant you extension.

2. My passport has been renewed recently. Shall I send the copy of new passport at this point of time? Send it along with MR Information sheet, Passport Bio pages of old and new passports, RPRF Online receipt or DD, Include a cover to inform VO about the Passport renewal

3. Do I need to include any cover letter to while sending these documents? Yes, One for your passport renewal intimation

4. For MR in Delhi, please suggest a Dr. Name from Panel list for faster processing?

5. Shall I assume interview has been waived off? there are very rare cases when VO called for interviews after MR.

Hi sk, can you please confirm me one thing ... when I registered for CIIP last week.. I dint have any date to select for CIIP session ... how come you guys have selected a date for ur ciip session.. is there some link to check this .. is ther something wrong i did while registering .. i havnt got a single mail from CIIP after registering till now .. not even a welcome mail ..

Also, while registering for CIIP I have attached introductory CIIP brochure which u get along with MR mail(the first attachment)...its fine rite ..

Once we registered and attached our Medical request (IMM PDF form) which we receive. We receive a welcome email with the available dates for CIIP and information they needed to know . I chose 19th - 21st May in Hyderabad. Once i replied with the details they needed.

They confirmed my participation for that session

I think this is where the lag is -
(Purely basis my observation only)

VFS Process
Day1 > PPF Submitted at VFS
Day 2 > With VO........ (Takes X days to stamp visa)
Day X > Visa stamped by VO
Day X+1 > PPF ready for pick up at VFS.

Courier Process
Day 1 > Handed over to Courier (provided consultant did not have a delay, else add 1 day lag)
Day 2 > Out for delivery if it made before dispatch cutoff on Day 1 else extended to day 3 ...High chances of spilling to Day 3...
Day 3 > With VO........ (Takes X days to stamp visa)
Day X > Visa stamped by VO and sent to mail room
Day X+1 > Mailroom triggers PPF return via registered India Post.
Day X+2 > IPO routes PPF to nearest PO.
Day X+3 > PPF out for delivery.

With the above assumption - VFS is 3-4 days quicker.

Applied from US and current status is Medicals Received on March 17. No DM or PPR yet.
Can we expect the passport returned with appropriate stamping by May end?

We might need to travel outside US early June.

it all depends on security/criminality check completion but I guess you should receive it before June..

In worst case if you travel away, you can still request visa stamping to the local visa office where you are present if you receive PPR.( i remember some forum members have successfully done it ) So dont worry..! All is well..

there are many August applicants who are waiting for mr after second line .
I am 5th August applicant second line updated on 3rd feb still no sign of mr.

NDVO pls. Send us MR this wait is killing us.

Kindly suggest whats the best way to submit the passport after PPR.......Thru VFS or Direct courier to the VO....seniors/experts please reply..

VFS is the safest especially since you are dealing with passports and they have experience with the whole thing.

I'm with you bros. I got extension for the FBI. I submitted in the last week of Feb. My Medical was in Nov
Still no news. Looks like they do not response to status inquiries before the 24 month processing period of NDVO.

After you have submitted all documents and they are tied to your application, it takes a min of 4 weeks to get any update. This is the case if you have requested for an extension. So you still have time.
And yes they don't respond to such queries. Only option is to request for GCMS notes and it takes 30 days. So you are better off in waiting since you are within the time frame.
You should be hearing the good news anytime...
