My ECAS status updated to third line today, ie my medical results have been received.

1. Does that mean everything was fine with my medical tests and I've cleared?
2. What's the average time to receive PPR after the third line update?
3. After how much time does the visa office return passport with visa?

My visa office is New Delhi. Would highly appreciate answers. Thanks a million in advance!

It means you passed the medical exam.Every case is unique,so expect 1 to 2 months for PPR after 3rd line.And it might take 10 to 20 days to get pp with visa on it.

What amount of fund we have to take when we land in canada? Do we have to take 18,270 CAD as we had shown as Settlement fund or we can take less amount?

Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they are not coming with you).

You will need to show proof to the Canadian visa office in your home country that you have enough money when you apply to immigrate.

The amount of money you need to support your family is set by the size of your family. We update these amounts every year.

security check happens normally after medicals and payment of rprf.
criminality check - after PCC are sent
after medicals - 3 rd line updated
3 rd line to 4th line - for ndvo was between 30-50 days (however, things have speeded up now)
some people have seen DM first and then PPR, however, some have seen PPR and then DM.

I want to share a unique case. Unique I am saying because I have not seen this before in the forum happen with any one. I received email in which it was written your application is approved and received passport request from LVO but still my ECAS is showing "In Process". I think they will update is later am I right ?

Nomination.....: 30-10-2014
Med's Done....: 19-11-2014;
Passport Req: 03.04.2015

Next week I'll send the Passport with pictures and residence payment proof to the embassy by VAC, and then I'll wait about 3 weeks.
Hope to get the visa soon

You can apply as many times as you want for GCMS, though sensible use of this process is required, plus there will be a fee each time

I have received my MR, PCC and RPRF request. i have my below mentioned time line and questions.

App recd : 2014-11-03
PER Recd : 2015-02-03
MR recd : 2015-04-01
Visa Office : CPC-Ottawa


(1) Received MR Email, but second line not updated yet. Is this Normal?
(2) In MR Email, it says I have to submit my and my wife's PCC for USA, I already submitted My PCC with file, Do i have to submit it again?

2)yes if vo asked to send it again then you have to follow the instructions.
Rest you can send cse and explain that pcc is already sent with initial application..

Yes you need to carry the same amount you declared in application as POF. Open a scotiabank a/c from India before flying. http://www.scotiabank.com/ca/en/0,,4362,00.html

CSE is case specific inquiry...you can raise it to VO with your UCI or application no...
what is your visa office? is it new delhi? if yes then it is really strange that you got your passport request before MR...
also what is your application date? and what mail you received from VO for PPR...just copy the format of that mail removing your name, application no and other personal details so we better could understand the situation...

Yes they will later on. Its normal and nothing to worry about.
