I ordered GCMS notes on 21st May the security and Activity section whitened out. All the pages where in the top right hand corner you have 15(1) or 16(1) or 19(1) written, on all that pages information has been hidden.

Apparently what info I have from CIC website is that when security checks (background Check) are going on that time they may choose to hide info in GCMS notes as they think revealing the info may hamper the security checks.

So apparently like you background checks are under process on my file too since last 6 months.

So cant predict whether its good or Bad, but a very long waiting period for some guys like us.

I haven't posted before but just wanted to share some information in case it helps anybody. For those of you who may be enrolled or have dependents enrolled in university in Ontario, PER letter is considered enough to be eligible for domestic tuition fees. This is given in guidelines by the Ontario Ministry of training, colleges and universities who consider a permanent resident to include those who have been approved "in-principle" and thus must be followed by all universities. The initial letter from CIC is generally accepted and applies to any of the various classes of applicants including FSW, FTW, CEC etc.

Hello Dear Friends,

With grace of GOD and help and good wishes of all the forum people , i received my PP Stamped last friday.

Friends need input from all the fellow people who have landed in Canada on how much of the funds that one need to carry.

Do we need to carry the complete funds mentioned in our application or we can carry partial amount.

I am travelling with my Wife and baby on 10 july and planing to carry arnd 8-9k CAD.

Friends plz help required urgently

it usually takes arnd 2-3 weeks in case of addition of baby.
i also got my baby added later after me and my wife medicals

It can be a mixture of cash, bank account balance, travellers cheque, draft.
You can also open a Canadian bank account while you are in India and deposit all the money there.

Hi can you please share ur experience about british airways flight. i am travelling via british airways delhi - london - toronto end of august. how was ur experience at heathrow airport, i have only 100mins stay. how much time it took during transit.

Sorry for very late response.
I found BA quite nice. Food & service were good enough. I was very new to Heathrow airport but it was quite easy to reach to the designated gate. 100 mins is sufficient to complete your security at London and board next flight.

Although, it is best to abide by there baggage policy, but one of bags was 26 kg (23 i suggested weigh) and they accepted it.

I might deliver just two months before my visa expires. Do you think they would give my baby a visa before my visa expires?

Congrats for landing!!!...Give some details of the landing process when u settle down...And how was transit at Heathrow??...

1) Landing was effortless process, it was just matter of waiting in queue. no tough questions from the officer.
2) I am sharing accommodation with my friend and yet to get permanent one for my soon arriving family.
3) Heathrow: I was first time abroad traveler, but found it easy to transit. Unlike in India, they do not broad you in much advance. I was asked to board the transit bus something around 30 min.

Additionally, officer was quite helpful. I had incomplete address of my friends, she call my friend and got the complete address and recorded it for sending PR card.

Hi,

I think there are 2 options:
1. Get to Canada and have the baby delivered there. Does not cause any delays and also the safer easier option.
2. If you decide to fly after the baby is born, you would need to inform the Visa Office. How they will proceed is not so clear. Some ppl suggest that they will cancel ur VISAs and start afresh. Some say only you and wife can go to Canada and there has to be a fresh application for the baby.

This is a very tricky and unpleasent situation.

Hence, I would suggest one of these 2 approaches:
i. Go to Canada, and get the baby delivered. Given the mother is medically okay to fly.
ii. Inform VO of the expected baby now. And by now, I mean immediately. This way, they can decide to put your application on hold.
Hence, you do not get the VISA now, but your application is still valid. You can then add details related to baby and get VISA for all 3 of you.
