Recently i landed as an immigrant, and i am still waiting for my PR card. For some urgent issue i need to go back China for a week, but i don't think i will receive my PR card before my departure.
I did some research online, seems like for people don't have their PR card, they will need to apply travel document while aboard. But since i will only stay in China for one week, i don't think there will be enough time for me to apply this travel document, am i right?
If i don't have enough time to apply for this travel doc, what are my other options?
BTW, I do have a visitor visa which expires next year, can i still use it to enter Canada?

Any help is much appreciated.

Your visitor visa is canceled once you become a PR. So using it to re-enter Canada isn't an option.

You need either the PR card or a travel document to return to Canada. Unfortunately those are your only two options. If the PR card isn't ready by the time you leave, then you may want to extend your trip to two weeks so that you can make sure you have time to apply for an obtain the travel document.

Urgh, couple days ago i was so happy i got my PR, but now i wish i haven't got it so i could still use my visitor visa. ???
Why they cant just give us the damn card when we landed. >:(

If you have a US visa, you can return to Canada from US by foot or private vehicle with your landing document.
