Hello There,

My sister applied for a visitor's VISA to visit us in Canada with her husband and 19 year old daughter.

their application was refused with the reasons checked in the letter as follow:

-You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:

Purpose of Visit

Personal Asset and financial status

She is offered to re-apply if those concerns can be omitted by providing evidence to prove.

FYI - Purpose of visit was to visit us, I have provided them with the letter of invitation along with our offer to bare their expense while visiting with the financial statements as proof.

Also my sister is a homemaker and was also the primary applicant.

I am wondering if she can use her account to re-apply however, have her husband as the primary applicant who owns the business and also has been working as independent civil contractor for years, they have properties all of these can be attached to strengthen their application..

would this approach be applicable or it is best to create new account of my brother-in-law and submit a new application!

Please write me back with all info and suggestions you may have to help for re-submission..

Thanks a bunch in advance.

1. How long did they want to visit?

2. Purpose of visit: Merely stating 'They want to meet us' does not work. The visa officer would like to see a well-thought out visit plan.

3. List of documents that each applicant had submitted. Changing the principal applicant for the next application is only superficial. The root solution will be the evidence of their ties to their home country + their financial situation + their previous travel history.

4. What does your niece do? Is she employed (since when, earns a salary) or studying (if yes, then which year of her study program)?

5. Have they traveled to other visa-required countries (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?

1. How long did they want to visit?

They are planning to spent 7 weeks over my niece's summer vacation from May 10th till end of June.

Visiting us and site seeing around the province we live is the purpose

They submitted all that was required, the forms, passports, national IDs, their siblings and parents, family information form (all of them are In India except for me) I had provided them with the letter of invitation, with our financial statments for the proof with the letter that we would bare all of their expense while they are in Canada.
I think I do know now that they need to submit my brother-in-law's business / income / and their properties documents. I do want to ask you what else can they submit to make their application stronger! Is their anything I can provide! 4 years ago I had assisted my mother for her visitor visa and the same documents were submitted as above and her visa was approved without any issue.

4. What does your niece do? Is she employed (since when, earns a salary) or studying (if yes, then which year of her study program)?

my Niece is completing the 2nd year of her 4years Civil undergraduate program. Also is very involve in a number of extra curriculam activities. she is also in a 5th year of the 6 years of clasical dancing program.

5. Have they traveled to other visa-required countries (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?

No they have not traveled in any such countries.

Thank you for your response, looking forward to more info.

As first-time travelers, a visit of 7 weeks is too long even if it is during your niece's school break. But, your brother-in-law does not have an employment break of 7 weeks, right?

Ideally, a visit of 3-4 weeks max. supported by a detailed day-by-day visit plan with expense estimates. Your brother-in-law must be able to prove he can pay for this visit plan for three persons + airfare + surplus funds.

Your support is secondary and will not factor in. Offering to provide accommodation will be considered.

You would need to post the list of documents that each applicant intends to submit.

What works for one applicant, may/may not work for another.

Being in the second year makes her study ties as weak. That aside, does she have any other compelling reason to return to India?
