Greetings experts,

I have a question regarding immigration to Canada....

I was granted immigration to Canada in 2010; It expired five years later as I didn't meet the residency criteria. I never renounced my residency status. Now when I want to make a fresh application, do I need to renounce my past (now expired) residency status before applying?

I will look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Yes - you need to officially renounce your status before reapplying.
