I've had a request for RCMP check as I've been in Canada since 2015 on a working holiday. I've looked on the RCMP website but am so confused. I know where I need to go in Vancouver to get this done but looks like I need to fill out a form (350-58-nf) and I'm not sure how to fill it out.

Can I just print this off and take it with me and ask at the station what to do? Which of these options taken from the RCMP site do I need to select?

Clearly state on the request which information you require:

  • copy of RCMP Criminal Record data holding including active criminal history, pardon record and archive record
    OR
  • copy of RCMP Criminal Record data holding for record suspension
    OR
  • copy of RCMP National Repository entire holdings

google "Commissionaires Fingerprinting" and go to nearest office. They'll get you RCMP certificate in 10 days.

I'm going to RCMP this evening who will process in 3 days and then mail out to me. It's more the form that I need to fill in that I have a question about. I don't want to request the wrong thing or fill out the form wrong.

If your address is in Vancouver, you must go to Vancouver PD at Cambie St for fingerprint RCMP criminal check. The system is simple for inlanders, go to the nearest police station and ask about the RCMP criminal record check for PR (take the request letter from CIC). They will do the rest.
