Hi everyone

Last week I received RCMP criminal check from CIC. I have completed the process however am not sure if my husband also needs to do it as he is dependant on the application. I have sent email to CIC but no response yet.
Does anyone on this forum know if the co-applicant also needs to get the RCMP police certificate?

Thanks in advance for your inputs
Jasmine

If CIC wanted a RCMP check from your spouse, they would have asked him for one.

No email i received does not state FOR ALL DEPENDENTS... It states as below:

"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Our records indicate that we are still missing the following document(s) in order to finalize your application:
FOR THE PRIMARY APPLICANT:
Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. For more information, please consult the .........."

I went to Red Seal Notary (redsealnotary/) .... its your choice ...you can ask them to send to send it directly.... they'll send electronic prints to RCMP who in turn will forward the report directly to Agency. Whole process takes 2 weeks they said if your prints are not flagged once RCMP runs these against their database.
