I have applied for Canadian Parental Immigration Sponsorship for my mom who is currently residing in Sydney, Australia. For this purpose the RCMP requires her ink fingerprints on their specified form for Canadian Police Clearance Check. We have been advised to get these done from local police station or Notary Public officer.
We have contacted police stations near our loctaion and regional headoffice and they scan digitally only and do not provide the prints to us or any third party. They will only provide the digital scanned prints to Canadian Consulate only. The three Notary officers we reached out seemed surprised about the RCMP requirement, do not guarantee if the prints would work and demand a huge fee.
Please advise if anyone has got their ink finger prints done for RCMP Police clearance check from Sydney? And from where (name and address/location)?
