Feb 7th Draw -- CRS 442 December 2017 Tie breaker.
Feb 21st Draw -- CRS 441 January 2018 Tie breaker.
If the cut-off would be 444 again for the next deaw, I won't be surprised. It's trully unpredictable.

Guys, I'm sitting at 440 with NOI from ONIP.
I missed CLB 10 because of getting 7 in writing. Everything else is 8.5 and 9 :(
Which of the following do you suggest?
1. Re take IELTS to get CLB 10 so that I can get 443
2. Take the ONIP path ( I got NOI yesterday)
3. Wait it out
I would advise you to go to safety and use that OINP. Costs for it are somewhere around 1 month payment for apartment renting in Toronto, so not really that much.
With that you can withdraw you application anytime if you get direct ITA during PNP process. And if not at the end of it, you will get PNP and a safety against any point losses because of your age.

Good luck.

guys, sitting at 440 and profile was created on 30th. So didnt get the NOI yesterday. I was hoping for today but dint materialize. I already scored full in IELTS for each section. Not sure what to do. OINP is only hope but unpredictable.
We're at 440 too. A resit of IELTS would only improve our score by 3pts so I'm not sure if it's worth it as it's expensive and a long waitlist. Writing was a 7 and I heard it's hard to get much higher. No chance of a PN here so we just have to hope and pray.

Hi everybody, I'm currently sitting at 441 but will lose 5 points on Feb 2nd when I turn 30. My current work permit expires on March 18th, what chances do you think I have of getting a ITA before this date with my score at 441 or 436? Should I start looking at other options like PNP?

Really starting to worry now as time is running out and finding out I will lose another 5 points soon has just added to my worry! :(

Oh boy, I don't want to be wandering around these Ray of Hope XXX threads for too long. Sitting at 438 and it may even go down in March with the birthday looming over me. Don't know if I ever would get an ITA before that.

Guys, I got an overall 8 band in IELTS. Will retaking the exam and getting a higher band increase my points significantly? I'm at 438 and it will go down with my birthday in March. What do you suggest? Also, what if I score lesser this time around? what score will be taken into consideration then?

It’s not necessary to use the latest test result. You can use any IELTS result as long as it is valid.

ieltsliz is an excellent source.
Improve vocabulary.
Lots of ielts general practice apps are avlbl.use those for hands on practice.
I will always prefer BC over IDP..lots of negative reviews for idp online.

Practice enough so you feel confident and not nervous right before test.
Follow and practice a format for writing task.

I am certain you will make it through this time.

So ONIP and cic go hand in hand
Apparently so. It would be naive to assume they are unconnected, as they have to align with each other.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise if the next round of OINP NOIs issuance comes again a day or two before 7th Feb. (CIC draw date, if that’s the case) and the targeted CRS is in the range of 438-444. They are making candidates to choose clearly for OINP if they are genuinely interested. And just not look at it as a alternative option for not making it to CIC ITAs. That way, they too will seek the creme-de-la-creme of the EE pool.

One more OINP round to see the clear pattern.

Thanks.

If your work permit expires on March 18th. Don't you think you should start the process for renewing it right now without waiting for ITA ? I think it takes a minimum of 60 days.
