Hi All,

Is there anyone in the banking sector? I have a friend who is working as an assistant manager in Chennai & does have the below responsibilities, so if anyone is in the same shoe, it would be great if you can recommend me which NOC goes well with her duties? Thanks :)

Assistant Managerial basic duties-

A bank assistant manager is just as responsible as the bank manager for the overall success or failure a bank faces. He is responsible in assisting the bank manager in training all the bank employees to do their job well. They help in budgeting of the banks expenses and help create a fool-proof daily routine that the employees can follow. Bank assistant managers help the bank manager in a lot of his duties and tasks.

maybe she is confused between- NOC 0122, NOC 1212 or NOC 6235.
Hi,

Assistant Manager's responsibilities mentioned above are general in nature. Can you please advise in which department does she work and what her role involves? A proper JD of the role can define the NOC.

I agree with Abishek. I think you are making a huge error with the 441-450 count. If you think about the logic there was a 2 day difference between the draw and the table. To say that there is atleast half remaining in the pool is not correct. The maximum number that could be in the pool is 350 between 441- 446. I do however agree with you that the score will be closer to 440. I think it will be based on my calculations 339 which is very close to both you and Abishek @2750 ITA
If it is as you said, there were around 900+ folks between 446-450 and only 350 folks between 441-445 which does not make sense as more people should be on lower scores. Also, please note there was a draw on Nov 15th with CRS 439, so if the tie breaking rule on Dec 20 says October 2nd, it means only those with CRS 446 and who declined ITA received on Nov 15th OR increased their CRS score after Nov 15th to CRS 446 would have got ITA on Dec 20th..which basically means the 900+ folks would have to come majorly from 447-450 as only those who declined ITA's with CRS 446 OR increased their scores to CRS 446 have got ITA on Dec 20th and all those who created new profiles after Nov 15th would still remain in the pool.

What we fail to see is that the higher numbers of intake or increased scores would happen near to the Wednesday as the draw occurs on Wednesdays. For example, I would create a profile or update a profile on Tuesday night so that I am ready for the Wednesday draw. Hence Dec 18-20 would have seen a significantly high number of profile creations and profile updates.

Also, the IELTS result which got released on Dec 15 would have ensured majority of the folks got their IELTS report on or after Dec 18.

HI @Abishek

For the last 2 years, we have seen around 3000+ applicants were given ITA during the first draw of January, on an average. So, considering the quota which has been increased to the maximum, for 2018, compared to the last couple of years, we can assume that at least 3000 people should get their ITA if not more. I believe your prediction is right with 440-442 to be the cut off for 2750 ITA, so what is your call if 3000 ITA is issued in 3rd January and if we assume further 3000 ITA to be given on 17th January, what do you think about the Cut off CRS for that draw?
I will come up with the calculations for 2750, 3250 and 3750 ITAs for Jan 3rd draw soon.

Actually she has been doing a mix of duties in different departments. For example, currently she is in charge of scroll locker pension, she was in deposit section for one year, also used to canvassing fixed deposits and collecting income tax.

It is still generic as there are many other tasks which she would be doing and the above example doesn't cover everything.

The best option for this will be take her official job description and then choose the NOC.

if she is in branch operations, then there will be some fixed duties she would be performing on daily basis such as cash management, GL tracking, applications verification, vault management, cheque books issuance, deposits clearance etc.

I understand that sometimes we have to work on different tasks which are not official job duties (happens especially in banks) and these tasks are not part of job descriptions but rather taken as extra tasks during appraisal times :)

Honestly speaking if I were you, I would give IELTS again asap. If you’re worried about losing some time in the whole IELTS process, go for it !!
