Just a quick trend-line of the number of ITA's issued. The drop today is particularly worrisome :s Though the numbers in the pool do put my mind a bit at ease for the next draw.

i agree only 3200 ITAs is not a good sign, i dont know how low they intend to go with issuing ITAs i think they should be stable with 3k ITAs or they should increase it to make 3500 an avarage, if cic continue to issue ITAs on a average of 3k per draw and draw takes place twice a month then it will take 3 months to hit below 410. ppl like me between 400-410 will have to wait more then expected to get ITAs which is not good.

A bit surprising that the numbers in most columns after a 2 week gap are higher than after a 4 weeks gap.
It's absolutely not surprising. The previous draft had a very high cut-off score of 449, which means that (almost) none of the rows below 451-600 row has been flushed. That means, in rows 441-500 and below the same number of candidates + new ones (ok, 20% of candidates from 441-500 has been flushed, but 80% remains there (+new candidates in pool / updates scores moved from lower ranks).

That reminds of a few discussions from last year. Some people saying there was no way in hell the score would drop below 450.

Now we wait for the math geniuses of the forum to come up with the accurate predictions for the July 26th Draw. :D
why are you expecting draw directly on 26th lets hope for the best and lets pray there will be a draw on 19th since CIC must have reached to its normal working after june change and after enjoying long holidays of canada day,, i am very much positive and hopeful for draw on 19th @ crs 430

Me too, I'm having 423 and plan to study M2 in France starting this September. So anxious about the risk...
Guys I'm planning to go for a masters in France this august. I will probably get an ITA next draw(438)

I am planning to finish the 2 years masters and then move to canada. Is this acceptable for CIC? Will they reject me because I plan to move later?

i.e. Should I tell them about my plans in the LOE?
Guys can anyone answer our question?

Yes, that makes sense. Although I posted that before I had my morning tea, so I've only woken up now :p

The only brighter side I see in the yesterday's draw is a 9 points drop even though the number of ITAs was reduced significantly (the lowest of the year after first draw of the year). By the latest stats, the next draw might see another 9 points drop or something closer to that downards.

And you were telling it would reach 425. Here is a big LOL for you :p
Well nothing wrong in pridicting I persume and nothing to be ashamed of as well I suppose. I had my logic behind my calculation and it was clearly wrong. That doesn't mean I should let the hope go or stop boosting the moral of others as much as I can, if it matters to the people here!

I have here, the least possible chance in upcoming draws with my current score and I know it (everyone else does as well) yet I like to think positive for others, still I know even if I keep on my score and don't improve it, I will be through with many others above and below my score.

As long as they keep conducting draws every 2 weeks, the CRS should be on the decline. Any draws in between is a huge bonus.

You need to land in Canada before the expiration of your Medicals, which expires after one year. After which you can go to France to study, and come back to Canada.

# COPIED FROM CIC

To maintain your status as a permanent resident, you must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period. During this time you must be here physically.

The two years may not need to be continuous. An officer can confirm if your time in Canada counts when you:

  • re-enter Canada, or
  • apply for a permanent resident card.
