Guys I received a NOI from ontario with in 6 hrs of applying. What I want to know is should I wait for the draw or should I go ahead and accept it. I don't want to loose the chance in OOPNP while waiting since they only have 2700 slots for express entry pick.

You should wait, you have enough CRS, you will get an ITA for sure )))

Good luck. Don't fret too much. These things take time. There's not much you can do about it.
If your score is hovering near 400 you have a good chance of receiving ITA in a few weeks.

My evaluation took more than a month. My wife's came after mine.....around one and a half months to be exact... she had masters though, mine was only bachelors.

How come? You don't want your bachelors assessed? They don't charge extra ...

it says "Evaluation - Document by Document (Initial Application)"

@unicorns .. Please check the WES website for following:

1. The evaluation takes about a month roughly (specially for degrees from India)
2. Make sure you applied on their Canada page (https://www.wes.org/ca/eca), because the ECA is a separate evaluation package for Canadian Immigration (do not get confused by USA education evaluation or Canadian Education evaluation). The WES site is pretty specific about that while you are applying as well.

I bring up point #2 because you mentioned that your current status is "Evaluation - Document by Document (Initial Application)". This should not be the kind of evaluation needed for Canadian Immigration ECA. I had to get my spouse's evaluation done and I too almost made the mistake of getting a document by document evaluation.

You can check what you requested for when you log in to WES.ORG. As soon as you log in, the My Orders section should list the service level as "Service Level: Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)"

In case, as noted in point #2, you had NOT requested the Canadian Immigration ECA package, call them immediately and find out what you can do. I am not an expert in WES processes unfortunately, but can only pass on my wisdom of my experiences.

I think that may be unconfirmed as I had heard that the week of March 20 (a Monday), there was maintenance, but there was a draw on Fri,Mar 24.

Not sure, just roumors I heard in the forums.

This (you number 2) was what happened to me, exactly. I got confused and ordered an ICAP Document by Document evaluation. A few days before getting the evaluation report I realised I had to chose ECA assesment!
I thought I would have to send all the documents again, pay the fee and wait 20 business days. It turned out that after getting my Canadian evaluation I could simply order a duplicate ECA report (through you account) with a copy sent to IRCC for only CAD 30, it tooked less than 24 hours.

It was a relief!

That is fine, just make sure what your status column says on the order. You just need to ensure that Service Level is ECA.

Once the status column changes from Documents Received - Review in Progress, to Evaluation in Progress, it should be a short duration.
