Im sitting at 436 and praying for an ITA. Thank you all for the encouragements. Been in the pool since May 2016 after a rejection. I had lost all hope of ever getting an ITA , but life is teaching me that anything is possible, IF ONLY YOU HAVE HOPE...!!!!!

why were you rejected?

Hie Pacificislander,

I got a rejection because I had indicated in my EE profile that I have a Professional Degree(Law). I thought it was correct because that is what we call it in our country. However in Canada they actually mean its a Masters degree, so upon verification they gave me a rejection saying I had not provided evidence of the professional degree..

i was devastated, but it taught me to be thorough and my points fell from 486 to 436. I had lost all hope, but here i am in the ray of hope thread. This time I will not make a mistake!!!

That's sad. You sure have a good chance next draw.

they will deliver a report to you and they will let the CIC access the ECA report. If you have the reference number you should be fine.

1. Not a bug, You have to update it.
2. No, expired IELTS means rejection if you accept ITA.
3. No
4. IELTS must be valid at least until AOR. If it expires between ITA and AOR you must take a new test and submit those scores.

Thanks much Astral..! I found the below useful information on the CIC site

======
If a candidate realizes after having been issued an ITA that their circumstance has changed or that the information in their profile, on the basis of which they were issued an ITA, is no longer accurate, the candidate is instructed to recalculate their CRS score using the Express Entry calculator on the IRCC website. Examples of changes in circumstance that can impact a CRS score are listed below.

Where there is a change in circumstance and the candidate goes forward with submitting an APR, the candidate must ensure that the change in circumstance is properly reflected in their APR (i.e., the candidate must amend the information that was automatically transferred from their profile to their APR before submitting their application).

=====
An applicant’s CRS score is automatically recorded in GCMS at the time when

their ITA is issued; and
their e-APR is submitted.

At the time of the e-APR, processing officers should compare both CRS scores to determine which of the following scenarios should be applied:

If the applicant’s CRS score at the time of the e-APR is equal to or higher than the lowest-ranked score in the round of invitations, the application will not be refused under section A11.2, as long as the applicant’s supporting documentation corroborates their claims and they continue to meet the MEC for Express Entry, including the requirements of the program to which they were invited to apply.
If the applicant’s CRS score at the time of the e-APR is lower than the lowest-ranked score in the round of invitations, the application should be refused under section A11.2 for not having maintained the qualifications that would justify the ITA.

======

As per above info, we can amend the information while submitting e-APR as long as I re-claim my 20 points and keep the CRS score above the minimum CRS requirement used for issuing ITA.

Do you suggest to remove my IELTS score from my wife's profile right away, and wait for the new exam results to update? I would probably get the TRF by 22-Mar-17 i.e. before the second draw from now. Assuming that I could again contribute 20 points making the CRS score to 440 on my wife's profile...my only concern is what if the CRS requirement again starts increasing.

You have to update changes in the application when it has an impact on your points in a positive or negative way. The system does not do it on its own. So exam scores if they have expired clearly need to be removed till you have the exam result with your TRF number.

I don't think you can use any explanations coz you clearly need to have a valid/Current test score at the time you receive an ITA. Post that it does not matter

Thank you for your insights.

Remove your IELTS score right away and wait for the new exam results to update - exactly. It wont increase, no considerable amount od PNP's yet, draws are large enough to hold the pressure anyway.
