I am very nervous and kind of desperate about the draw - I am not in Canada and currently score at around 450. I am gonna reach my 3yr work experience by September but I am worried there will be lots of new applicants joining and pushing the score higher when the IELTS test reopen (the situation in US and all the visa restriction etc). Is there a chance for me to get the invitation this year?

Also I have another internship experience that I did not put in my profile. It was after my college and paid. Does internship count as work experince if it is paid and >40hr / week?

Are you CEC or FSW? If you are an FSW candidate with 450, the odds are not on your side. If you are a CEC candidate and the current trends continue through September, you have a chance. Your paid internship counts as long as it is skilled and outside Canada, If it's in Canada, it's valid if you had a work permit (not co-op) at that time.

Guys, have IELTS resumed in India? Dudes keep booking and are getting the amount refunded back.
If FSW draws take place and if IELTS does not resume, score would drastically come down as in the case of CEC (from 469 or somethin to 440s).
There are tons of highly aspired motivated dudes that have been tremendously practicing IELTS with fire in this lockdown. So FSW draws shall happen a bit sooner.
IELTS anyways I guess is gonna resume after July and if that too, IELTS is gonna run the show with less capacity.
So not all dudes will get into the pool as it was in the past. So if FSW resumes by this week, other dudes too can get ITA and ITA can no longer be a thing for the 470s but to everyone.

470s had their time (from Sep to March) and I wish others too get a chance and not just the 470s.

Yes, CD IELTS is going on since 2-3 weeks and many days are going full in south India. Covid 19 cases are exploding in north and central India but CD IELTS is still open there but I don't know how many people are able to give the test. Paper based is not yet open and keeps getting pushed, new date is 6th-June.

Thank you for your reply. I am FSW and yes my internship was outside of Canada. The only positive thing is if i reach 3yr work experience it will ad another 20 points but I am currently at 450.

You need to look into increasing your score further if you want to be selected under FSW. 450 is unfortunately not going to get you there.

Keep in mind of course that CICnews is run by the owner of this forum so anything published there can be as much speculation as posts on this forum, not connected to IRCC at all

You realize this isn't a government web site, right?

This is an immigration consultant's web site. No one in the government has said there will be four FSW draws in June.
I wonder how they can say that in the article. Maybe a FST along with B2B general draws.
