Well To be honest I don't have that much knowledge about that but my mate who's immigration advisor told me most of students come over 6.5 Bands to study and 8777 is extremely hard for them. So most of them stay within 450-460 range or either 600+.
After 1-2 years of study their english if below par certainly improves and just by being in canada they have the option of giving canadian alternative to IELTs which I have heard is much easier in getting 8777

Need Urgent Help: 3 Mistakes of my life not committed by me.

I have 15 days left to file for PR and struggling with the 3 issues in my docs. Looking forward to some suggestions from senior members on the forum here.

1. As per the documents, there is a gap of just 4 months between me and my sister. My age in documents is 1 year older than the actual one and thus this goof-up. We are required to fill the age of the siblings in the form.

2. I use "Agarwal" in all my documents, whereas my father and all other family members have double g in the surname i.e "Aggarwal".

3. My father's first name's spelling in all my docs is "Ashoka" whereas in all his documents it is "Ashok".

I was born in a village and the headmaster of my school messed up with the records while I took the admission.
How do I deal with these issues? I tried to get the documents corrected but couldn't do so. Please please help me as I am running out of time.
I had the same issue as you have in #1. I left it as it was, no explanation nothing. Although I was claiming points for sibling, the issue of DoB was with my elder sister. The time difference between elder and younger sister between their birth according to official documents were only few months, I believe 4 months. I entered the official DOB of my elder sister cos that would have already been used while my younger sister's application was lodged. No problem whatsoever, got my PPR without any issue. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I also had issue with the name of father. In my sister's passport, my father's caste was not mentioned while it was mentioned in mine. Hence, I prepared a self-affidavit for name verification and asked my father to sign and then got it notarized. Furthermore, I also got an official letter for the same issue from local ward office saying the person is the same, government documents always have greater value. My application got processed without a hitch. Good luck.

@Dheana90 your prediction if the draw happens this wednesday?
Below is my estimation calculation of CRS cut off for 23rd or 30th October draw:

After 2nd October draw with 3,900 ITA issued and cut off 464, the score distribution would have been approximately:

601-1,200 = 0(3,900 -839)
451-600 =6,810(9,871-3061)

441-450= 8,739

Note: As cut off was 464, it means that the 6,810 profiles left on 451-600 range are those who have score 451-464 only. Let's assume that 6,810 are distributed equally to 451-464 score range. Thus, it makes 6,810/14= 486 profiles per score.

CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of October 11, 2019
CRS score range Number of candidates
601-1,200=509
451-600=9,632
441-450=8,833

It means in 9 days from Oct 2nd to Oct 11th, there where:
601-1,200 = 57 profile/day (509/9days)

451-600 = 314 prof/day (9,632-6,810 = 2,822/9days)

441-450 = 10 prof/day(8,833-8,739= 94/9days)

So, by 23rdth October, the CRS distribution in the pool will be approximately:

601-1,200=1,193(509 + 684(57x12days))
451-600=13,400(9,632+3,768(314x12d)
441-450= 8,953(8,833+120(10x12days))

Suppose that from the newly added 6,590 (2,822+3,768) profile from 2nd Oct to 23rd Oct, it will be distributed equally to (451 - 476 to 600) as seen in the internal tracker. Thus,it will make 6,590/26=253profile/score.

With 3,900 ITAs the cut off score will be approximately 466-467
3,900 minus:
-1193(601-1200)
-253 (of 476-600 newly added score)

-253 (of 475 newly added score)

-253 (of 474 newly added score)
-253 (of 473 newly added score)
-253 (of 472 newly added score)
-253 (of 471 newly added score)
-253 (of 470 newly added score)
-253 (of 469 newly added score)
-253 (of 468 newly added score)
-253 (of 467 newly added score)

-177 (of 466 newly added score)

By 30th October, the CRS distribution in the pool will be approximately:

601-1,200=1,592(509+1083(57x19days)
451-600=15,598(9,632+5,966(314x19d)
441-450= 9,023(8,833+190(10x19days))

Suppose that from the newly added 8,788 (2,822+5,966) profile from 2nd Oct to 30th Oct, it will be distributed equally to (451 - 476 to 600) as seen in the internal tracker. Thus,it will make 8,788/26=338profile/score.

With 3,900 ITAs the cut off score will be approximately 470-471
3,900 minus:
-1,592(601-1200)
-338 (of 476-600 newly added score)
-338 (of 475 newly added score)
-338 (of 474 newly added score)
-338 (of 473 newly added score)
-338 (of 472 newly added score)
-338 (of 471 newly added score)
-280 (of 338 of 470 newly added score)

Yeah but I'm telling you what I'm told by a local immigration advisor! English improves but not for everyone again, other exams aren't easier at all specially to score CLB 9-10.

sad to say this but my assumption is correct

The election will change the draw's trend and see what happen now
Unfortunately, despite the fact that I have disagreed with you in past. I have to agree with you this years CRS has been thoughtfully manipulated by Canadian Government to woooh the voters who don't view easy immigration positively.

Immigration is not even in debate this year's election and parties are campaigning on climate change, carbon tax and balancing budget. I don't think a common man would even be aware of the pool size and the CRS.

But yes, the artificial CRS inflated around May was a deliberate move to attract more high scoring candidates (read US H1B workers) to the express entry program since there's now a general notion that instead of increasing the number of immigrants, something should be done to assimilate them in the Canadian job market which H1B workers can easily do.

I don't think anyone is manipulating anything ... it is just more people with higher scores are entering draws and that is because people now are getting more informed about Express Entry. I myself was very skeptical about it and always thought of it as a scam until my friend convinced me to enter and basically forced me to, and now I see that it is legit.

Personally I think there is hope for cut off score to drop lower than 460, especially if a draw happened this week, but I would have to agree that we will see the score holding up more often in the 460s.
