Just received OINP NOI!!! Feel so relieved now.

If I would have known it, I wouldn’t have spent 400CAD to book IELTS for my spouse ;) and yes IELTS is crazily expensive here in my country...

Now it’s just too late to cancel the test seat booking and I think I’ll wait till my spouse gets the IELTS result and see if we have a chance in Aug 28 draw without spending this extra 1500CAD :)

Has Ontario gotten to its target for the year yet? I hope so. Messing things up for the rest of us who they aren't interested in.

These are the days I wished I finished my Master's in applied science instead of switching to social science. I could have applied for BC PNP, the only province I am interested in.

I think this year target has been achieved by Ontario. 6900 was the target

Hey guys,

I've received my NOI yesterday. I have 452 points on my own. Can I add my wife to the application since the certificate is worth 600 points or do I have to stay above the 439 cut off for the Ontario draw?
Did you receive the nomination or NOI. You mentioned NOI. NOI is just an interest shown by the province and you will apply and based on your application the province will nominate you and subsequently you will get 600 points

so, its all over. wow. it seems like without luck Canada journey is futile. there was a light at the end of the tunnel to see a draw on 21st now thats even extinguished. after investing 2.5 yrs such a sad ending.

anyway congrats to everyone who got NOI last night.

I saw you guys talked about OINP. This week AINP starts issued nominations for NOI on June 21. I guess at least 150+/- will enter to the pool which 600+. This is only EE steam. AINP still have AOS stream for people who hold PGWP. Recently, I just received nomination from AINP. My CRS is 950.

And u are worried! U are funny bro ,u will get your ITA nxt week.
the chances of a draw is very slim on 21st after todays NOI by OINP. If they skip the draw it ll be all over for me so the chances are very very slim for me.

I paid $36k for my 2 year program!!!... it's never coming cheap. International students deserve more than 15 & 30 points!... you are even rarely able to work as assignments are the order of the day :(
Don't worry,dear... I have paid 80k for 3 years bachelor program (Accounting major) in Australia and after I graduated, no chances for PR as the immigration system become bias there.

Atleast Canada gave points for 1 year post-secondary study program. Australia required atleast 2 years Australian diploma or equivalent program to be eligible for economic immigration program and no additional points for coursework master degrees as it will be awarded bachelor points only, unless it's a research based program in the STEM field only. Foreign work experience will only be given points if it's 3 years or more. No points for 1-2 years foreign work exp and that 3 years too will be given only 5 points (the minimum). In order for your qualification to be recognised as equivalent to Australian program, it needs to be assessed by its respective assessing organisations such as CPA for Accounting program that mostly required 7 each in IELTS-Academic and some assessing bodies required 1 year work experience, too. No points awarded for 6 each in IELTS for language ability. No points awarded for 0.5 band in each IELTS skills. Points only awarded for 7 each (10points) and 20 points for 8 each. For age, the maximun points only awarded to (25-32) age group. Most of international undergraduates will finish their study when they are 21-22 y.o. Even if their pursue 2 years degree, they will still have less points for age and no additional points for masters.

As a result, I'm stuck here in India and regretted for chosing Australia over Canada to study.

But I'm not giving up yet. I am more determine than ever to pursue my dream in Canada. I have lost so much money in Australia just to gained a bachelor degree for nothing as it became useless there. Instead I can use it for Canada with much more points awarded for it as well as for my work experience and langauge ability.

So, just be more patience,dear..I'm sure the cut off score will come down sooner or later. Cheers
