.
Canada wants young and educated immigrants. Canada has aging population. They want young people who can contribute for longer to the society (i.e. paying taxes to the govt. , helping meeting labour demands etc) rather than giving more points to older applicants who will retire early as compared to young people.
I strongly agree. That is the reason that the score decreases after a certain age. They need young paople to balance their population. The government doesn't want to spend their whole money on sooner retiring population. I know that 33 is not old age. But they made this cutoff according to the age of their current population. If you are such a strong candidate, they will give you points considering other factors. But the major reason for immigration program in Canada is because of their aging population.

Thanks for your insight
. I have my common law partner as accompanying and without him the CRS is 466 and also I got ITA on July 10th but had to decline it as I was on leave of absence for 1 and half month so lets hope everything goes smooth this time.
I don't think so it works without spouse. if one has spouse then has to submit application together. I have heard from many lawyers that if you have spouse then you cannot upload file without spouse. For them it would be suspicious or we should prepare with a good and pertinent reason for why applying without spouse. so the case come back to 461. I have same story :(

Today our 31 clients Got their ONIP approval so all those will have 600 points . We will update their profile today or may be tomorrow. So they are approvingly ONIP applications so I don’t think that CRS will ever come below 458 in 2019

Hey , I was going to apply with him anyways and don't worry we should be able to make it this year.

yeahh but they only check your docs when they are submitted and then they check the day you submitted docs if u've completed a year or not my brother he got his PR like that so yeah its safe but they tell you so that you dont take somebody else's ITA thats it lol but anyways good luck i am myself at 457 and gonna try improve score by going for ielts again
Tbh it all depends on who is working on your file.

Not to mention that once a citizen hits 55 years old he is entitled to so much government support and CIC doesnt want to get people who can work for 10 years then take advantage of this system. Older people, starting at the age of 40, get sick more frequently and cost taxpayers a lot of money.
What are you talking about mate? You seriously think 60+ are very old and walk on their sticks? And 40+ get sick too often? Totally insane. If you are in Canada, open your eyes and look around. Most of 70+ folks are very healthy, walk and look straight with excellent physiques. Go to any gym and you will see oldies with super fit outlook. Go to any walmart and you will see grandpas and grandmas making their lives very happily at cash registers. Don't think that oldies are there just to utilize govt benefits. We need a blend of both age groups. Their experience cannot be matched with anything else imho.

So we got our ITA. Now all our savings are in my wife account but that account is in joint with her mother. So how do we transfer that amount. Should we transfer in one go or in small amounts?

ReallyWorriedAboutPOF!
Joint account cannot be used as POF unless it is primary applicant and accompanying spouse's name.
Show 6 month to 1 year balance in the joint account. Transfer it to your account. Get a no objection certificate/letter from your mother in law. Show your account balance sheets.
I think this should be enough.

It won’t. Just think logically

Still there will be one PNP and may be on same day FSTW Draw will happen so you we will see 3 week gap somewhere in September.

Other factors are IELTS(Computer based), Inland applicants, People with old profile who are increasing their points due to increase experience for a year or two.

Computer based IELTS and inland Applicants are major reasons for high score. There are thousands of international students who finished their studies to in 2017-18 and they get Canadian education points plus Canadian experience points as well. And inland applicants Also have option of CELPIP and IELTS .

There are so many inland applicants who created their profile in 2016 and 2017 and they are doing their experience points every year. Canada gives 80000 study permit a year . 80000 students from 2016 and 2017. I was international student and my points were 497 in 2017( I finished my study in 2016) just think with one year experience, Bachelors degree from india and Diploma from canada I had enough points
