Just wait for two or three draws to see the trend we may witness increase in itas or b2b draw
Yeah, this is what I am thinking. To observe till August and then make a decision.

As you sent your initial application which was incomplete, if you mentioned that your spouse is coming with you, then it isnnot good idea to exclude your spouse from your application. It can be easily seen that you are doing this to get higher points and immigration officer may judge this as a misrepresentation. If you have strong reasons like sick, government job or any family related serious issue then yes go ahead. Final word is always yours. Good luck.
You are right, and this is my concern as well. To be honest, there's no reason other than increasing points.

I have a question for the good people of this forum.

I have two years of work experience in two different noc codes and i want to put both under the work experience tab. The first noc code i am confident with and brings my points up to 465 but since I really don't want to take any chances in the next draw I am adding the second year of experience as well which is in a different noc but i am not confident about the noc i picked. However, it will bring my points upto 490 and i will for sure make the draw.

The question is that say if the cut off on Wednesday is 463 and i make it with 490 points But when processing the application they determine that the noc code is wrong for the second year. Would they refuse my application or only take the points off for that job?

I would really appreciate all the help i can get. Thanks

This is nice. May I ask what tech stacks are you using for this? I didn't know webhostapp is free. It's pretty cool.
Basic html , php and mysql, not my strongest skills as I'm an electrical engineer.
I wanted to make email-approved submission, but I think like this is much simpler, considering people here will be nice and mature, and will not to sabotage the distribution.

Nice idea and very action oriented!

The only problem is currently it would be impossible for people to update their CRS score. Any solutions to this?

Hi all, I know that trying to improve on your CRS score is on everyone's mind here. In this changing climate, consider taking a closer look at the several Provincial Nominee Porgrams (PNP). It may be that either you or your spouse have worked or are working in an NOC that is of interest to a province. As you already know, a PNP nomination gives you a boost of 600 points and a guaranteed invitation in the next round. I also know that French is of interest to some of the provinces, including ON.

There is another matter of serious potential consequence to the Express Entry program: The upcoming federal elections in October. At the start of the year, the opinion polls where showing the Liberals neck-to-neck with the Conservatives, but after a number of scandals Trudeau and his party are quite bruised and are trailing the Conservatives by 7 percentage points in the overall CBS poll of polls. The present likelihood of the Liberals winning more seats than the Conservatives is very low. Nobody knows exactly what will happen to the EE program with the Conservatives in power, but it could mean they either sharply reduce the number of ITAs or increase the processing time back to years (not months) to dissuade people from applying. I really hope the drawbridge to Castle Canada doesn't go up in October, but I would like you all to aim for an ITA before that if possible.

My old post with the rest of the advice is pasted below for reference:
It may interest you to know from today's news that.....
THE CANADIAN LABOUR FORCE IS SHRINKING!!
"That despite an influx of potential workers via immigration, a falling participation rate indicates fewer Canadians in the workforce. Many are retiring."

"Canada's labour force shrank by 49,200 in May, the largest decline since January 2018," said Cory Renner, economist at the Conference Board of Canada. "The decline ... resulted in the participation rate dropping 0.2 points to 65.7."

Conservative will leave the immigration quote to investment immigration, it will affect EE a bit or they will rise the bottomline higher

which mean CRS will go up and more requirement. EE will still here but point will stay high under their hand

Immigration was easier when Liberal joined in 2015....2017-2018 is prime time ~
They won't tamper with skilled immigration. That 'd damage their own cause. And that's the bottom line.
Refugees and family sponsorships 'd sure be in their scopes though.
And like that whatever extra they want to allocate to investment, that 'd be easily manageable from the extra space created by reducing refugee and sponsorship quota.

Besides Scheer is a rather 'liberal' conservative. Check some of his views out. You ll be surprised.

This thread certainly has metamorphosed into a political discussion. I too have done the studies and have heard it from conservatives themselves saying that EE is the last thing they will touch. Refugee and illegal immigrants crossing the US borders and jumping the immigration queue are the ones who will be targetted. The word immigration had been losely used by politicians.

Exactly! I don't even know what the fear is all about. Skilled immigration won't be touched, not till the end of next year at least.
Personally I am now almost convinced that this false fear has been partly fuelled by liberal propaganda and partly by petty immigration agents trying to convince people into rushing their applications, while promoting that 'they have a solution' kinda marketing.

Besides, that's also general politics, right? To create an atmosphere of fear and apprehension, trying to convince the layman that the rival parties are responsible for such. They all know there that immigration is an attractive topic, like 'tolerance' in India. They ll make use of it! Not that anyone cares anymore once they gain power lol.

A number of polls over the last year have shown a growing concern among Canadians over the numbers of newcomers Canada accepts each year.

from CBC Canada
"Scheer told the crowd he believes Canadians have lost confidence in the fairness of the immigration system thanks to the influx of irregular migrants [...]"

Also: "Public polling on this topic is mixed, but a recent survey by Environics suggested that general views on immigration have changed little over the last eight years. In 2011, 47 per cent of respondents said immigration made Canada a better place, while 16 per cent said it made Canada a worse place. In 2019, those numbers were 44 per cent and 15 per cent. In 2011, 58 per cent disagreed with the statement that immigration levels were "too high. In 2019, 59 per cent disagreed."

Newcomers include refugees and illegals as well.
Besides there are a number of polls too that suggest that most Canadians believe that economic immigration should not be curtailed. :)

Media houses are funded by political parties. Polls are often altered to create an image of a particular party's ideology prevailing. But that's not news, is it?

We must look beyond propaganda and stay positive at least, if not optimistic. :)

The major anger is towards illegal who cross the border from usa and get handouts and housing upon arrival. Has cost canada 500m cad. No one is angry about ee
