Hello,
Though i have been actively following the discussions in 'Ray of Hope' forums, this i my first time posting here. Kindly pardon any lack of forum specific rules or ethics. :D

I am in a dilemma regarding my entry in the pool. I applied on 2nd march, and i am currently sitting at 446. I did my B.A,LLB (an integrated course of 5 years), from a very reputed institution of my country. As per CIC guidelines and criteria, LL.B is an entrance level professional degree, however, the WES guys didn't count it so and gave me a dual bachelors evaluation. Had i been given a professional degree evaluation, i would have been sitting at 454 rn, and would have sailed through the first draw conducted post to my entry in the pool. However, due to this issue, i am down at 446. Someone with the same degree from the same institution applied through IQAS and he got professional degree evaluation.
So, i am quite unsure about what to do...
Should i get a fresh evaluation from IQAS?
Or should i just wait for like a couple of months, because as far IQAS, they mentioned it on their site that the processing period for the evaluation might be close to 6 months or at least 5 months (not to mention additional efforts and resources required to get that done).

So do you think 446 has some chance of getting through in some time near future (maximum being 5 months i.e IQAS waiting period), or should i just do it already?
i think there are fair chances that the CRS will drop to 446 in the next 2-3 months.... Other folks can also confirm this if i'm wrong... @13nitinsharma @NikSharma01 @SeniorStakes @abhishek_89

Yes, there are bright chances! The ITAs may be increased during the second half of the year. If we compare the figure of 27000 ITAs issued till now in 2019, with the previous years, it can be seen that in 2017 ITAs issued till date 17 April, were 32000+ regardless of the low targets back then, which are way more than the 2019 figures. So, in 2019 the target can be expanded to 91000-96000 or even 100,000. However, former one looks more likely. So no worries folks, 450+ score is highly unstable and the cut-off will soon plunge back to the 440s range, which is an average.

Like I said earlier, you’ll see the number of ITAs increased from Q3 onwards. Every year, this change happens since CIC reaches to a position based on number of rejections till June end and basis that, they understand how many updated ITAs they have to send in the remaining half of the year (to meet yearly target).

At 446, you have a brighter chance but expect in Q3. Not surprisingly, score may touch to this score in next 2 months but the condition is - higher ITAs (3900) and one back to back draw is required to reach this score at earliest. Good luck!!

Hey guys, I didn't make it in the last draw but I'm positive about the next draw. Just wanted to share and seek opinions on my observation.

If you look at the target ITA for this year and compare it to the number of ITA issued so far and then do this drill for each of the previous year - you'll notice the progress so far as of April is the least.

Example -
Target ITA for 2019: 100,000
ITA issued so far: 30,000
Progress in % = 30%

Comparing the real figures for this year with the real figures for previous year and given that there are elections coming up in latter part of year, it seems they will either increase the ITA issued every draw or have more frequent draws so that should mean there is no need to worry for atleast the 440 range. By far this aspect of calculation gives me the most confidence for all those who think they're stuck than any other theory posted so far.

I'm surprised about the fake profile thing. Who in this world today has the time for such sheer nonsense? It takes a lot to actually own and admit it on this forum though. Here I'm who delayed making a genuine profile by a year or else I would most probably have been in Canada long back - not that I regret it but anyway for most people it won't matter as these fake profiles can't accept the ITA so they don't account towards the target PRs count. Probably going to contribute to a further increase in ITA in the next draws. The only people who get affected are those who are soon to lose points due to birthday or document invalidity more so that IELTS as you never know what your next score will be.
Guys,

does anyone care to explain where did this "fake profile" theory come from? Is there real evidence of it? Or, even, why some people are saying this is a thing?

Tks in advance.

Just have a look on the data analysis here.. Which surely indicates that the ITAs will be increased in the following months. Its just a matter of time! So it is advisable to keep yourself busy with your routine life, work or by attempting the IELTS again.

That is exactly the article that validated my observation which I shared in my previous post. Logged in to share the link lol

As for increasing your scores I was engaged in another thread here when I realised that it is possible for me to increase 7 points due to my Masters degree which WES evaluated as a diploma. I just need to send it to another institution that can respect it for what its worth. Although I think I'll park that action until another month or so.

Hey Bro @NikSharma01,
These high cut-offs were kinda killing me because I wanted to submit my pr application before june end as my current contract will end by that time. Nevertheless, I had plenty of room to increase my score through ielts and I decided to go for 6th april after seeing 451 on 3rd april. I got my result last night, on line, and my new score is 450.
So sorry buddy to let you know a bit late. I am sick of keeping the things unrevealed until I am not over with them, but this is my characteristic. To be honest, I got the motivation to write ielts from you guys, thanks buddies.

The only thing I wanted to say is that if you think you can increase your score, go for it asap. Now the backlog is around 450 on each point ranging from 441 to 450 or around 2200 between 445 and 450 as on 12th april. It seems difficult to reach the cut-off early 440s until there is no b2b draw or increment in itas. I always expected that there would be an increase in itas but it never happened.

Hi all.
New to this group. Been in the pool since March '19, at 446 right now.
I complete 3 years in June and was wondering if my profile would get updated next month or only in June itself?
Any information on the above would be appreciated! Thanks.

But why is WES so lacking and pathetic? Only if I knew that there were other institutions too, and that the guys at WES were such goofs.

Hi guys,

My CRS is 438 with IELTS maxed out and ECA as Bachelors 4 year.

I’m now planning to go for 1 year PG Diploma as I have couple of years before CRS starts decreasing because of age..

Just wanted to check with you guys if this is the correct decision.

Also, if anybody has done any such course pls help me to choose institution and course.

Thanks in advance!!
