I think cutoff score will remain high in foreseeable future. The trend is upwards with no dip almost for the entire year.
The main reason seems to be people who are currently in US do not see a stable future there and hence applying for Canadian PR.
Most of the folks in US have Masters from a US university, in the age bucket of 25 to 30, have better command on English as they have studied and worked in US and have already been through TOEFL.
All these factors will contribute to higher scores for the individual.
An applicant who is not married, age 28 years, Masters and if scores 8 or 8.5 in listening gets 478 to 481
Most of these folks are married to spouses with US education/masters - again those who fairly easily score high on IELTS. So even if married the scores still hover around 475+
Also it is not expensive for someone in US to apply for Canada EE. Whereas it is quite expensive (in relative purchasing power parity terms) for folks who are not in US but in countries like India, Pakistan. It is fairly easy to show 20,000 CAD in bank balance. Most of them have their bachelor's degrees already evaluated through WES or other agencies, they only need to add their masters to that file. The process is much quicker. They can also travel to Canada on visitor visa and appear for CELPIP rather than wait for IELTS.CELPIP is computer based and more slots are available.
Most importantly these folks are not going through any agencies, so the whole process including applying after eAPR does not cost more than a couple of thousand to three thousand US Dollars which is not too high for someone already in USA

Medical test cannot be taken before the ITA right or can it?
You can do it, but once you get COPR, your landing will need to be within 1 year from medical date. So guess it’s better to do it as late as possible unless you’re sure of ITA in next draw

What are the chances of them doing a 1 week gap draw this week as they did in 77-78th draw in November 8 and November 15 in 2017?

Hello guys,

My crs is 444. I have submitted my express entry profile. What are the chances of next draw before 27th Nov.. Otherwise I will lose 5points and come down to 439. If this happens, will the crs come down to 439 or below in future and when can this be expected? Kindly enlighten.
Oh, you’re in an even more thrilling Hollywood movie than me :D
I’m now on 444 with birthday on 1st December. Draw can be on either 26 or 28 November. I fervently hope it’s on 26 November so both of us can get an ITA. My guess is if it’s on 26, cutoff will be between 440-442 and if on 28, it will be between 443-445. Will post a detailed analysis tomorrow

This really brings hope to those of us sitting at 441. I hope we all get in next week!

Hi

My CRS is 447 currently. Birthday in early December. So only one more draw before my birthday and then I lose five points. What do you think are my chances if draw happens on 29th, two weeks from past draw?

I think the Monday holiday and then the French glitch did the damage. I was hoping that I will get an ITA in this draw, but then the draw having the second highest CRS in the year shows up.:(

First WES took the hell out of me and when I submit my profile, this happens.....
:(

Too sad guys....
However now hibernating for two weeks.

Hi friend,

If the next draw will be happening on Wednesday after 2 weeks which will be 13 days later, the cut off would be definitely down to around 445.
Today's high cut-off was happened due to the holiday as well as the French glitch. Do not feel sad and pray for hope. Now its November which is almost going towards the end of this year and CIC might start to increase the invitation number in order to meet their annual target.

Is there any chance of draw on 26th i.e. Monday. Or will it be on 28th?

They are already pretty close to their targets this year or even touched it by now. Like last year, what will happen is that they are going to cross the target. So there will be draws, I don't think we can expect any increase in levels of invitations sent

There are good chances of it happening on Monday. But that is again based on trends, my guess is as good as anyone else's on this forum.
Nobody anticipated what happened this week, draw coming on a Thursday instead of Wed.
I'm going to hibernate for the next 10 days and visit the forum on Nov 26th. Which i feel is the best thing to do in these circumstances.
My predictions:
If on Monday - 443-445
If on Wednesday - 446-449

Less chances of Monday draw and even if it’s on Monday or Wednesday very less chances that CRS will go down till 444

i'm on the same boat, pal. but i have somewhat of an interesting story:

last year the day I received the e-mail stating that my ECA was ready, I totaled up 415 points. Went online to update my profile and there was a draw held, 413. I missed the ITA by a matter of hours.

the only way for me to upgrade my score was to get my wife to take the IELTS and ECA. as she was swamped with work before, and she'd need to study for the exams, we decided to postpone it. Back in September we finally took the IELTS and her ECA was underway. Our score went up to 441 whilst waiting for her ECA report, due a couple of weeks later. In the midst of all this? A 442 points draw. Missed ITA by 1 point.

Now her ECA is complete, our score is currently 449 and we finally have had a draw with our capped score. Missed the ITA by the cut-off time.

It's getting frustrating. I'll lose 5 points in mid-December
