Can anyone tell me how log it will take to get PR? Online says 16 months but does it actually takes that long? Thanks

Hello Everyone,

I got a call again form the AINP office working on my file today. I applied on Sept 18 2014 and got a call from her a week ago confirming my employment and other information. Today she mentioned that I didn't submit the IELTS (language test) at the time of my application and when I applied it was under NOC 6551 and I got promoted to management position in 2015, which I updated with AINP earlier. She asked for the reason why I didn't submit the language test at the time of the application and I told her that I was in a misunderstanding that as an 'International graduate' applying for AINP didn't need to submit the language test. I do have a language test done from July-2016 and I told her that I can provide the proof of language test immediately. She said that I didn't meet the minimum criteria at the time of the application and now she has to talk to her manager about my case. She said that she'll get back to me. My current NOC code is 0621 (Retail Manager) which I updated with AINP last year. What should I do now ? Any suggestions ??

just be honest with them now as you have already told everything. if i were you i would go talk to MP or MLA. explain them your situation and try to get them call to AINP. that is gonna make difference.

Not to discourage you, but same thing happened with my first application. They did not update any of my further info which I had provided. At the time of decision they told me same thing not matching minimum criteria , I showed them all proof and proved them its not my fault. But I got denied.
I would suggest try to convince officer if she calls or you write her/ him letter of explanation about your case. I hope you don't have to apply again and just get approval from this one only. All the very best.

Hello. Thanks for your response. In my case the AINP officer confirmed that she has all the information about my promotion and new NOC code 0621 on file, which I have updated with AINIP in 2015. She's only concerned about the fact that I didn't submit the proof of language test at the time of my initial application. I applied under NOC 6551 (NOC C category/ Semi-skilled) and I was an international graduate, so I was an impression that I didn't have to include the proof of language test with my application.

Thanks for the confirmation, i can see ray of hope here, as they are in June 2015 files and AINP was stopped in August 2015 and started in Feb 2016, and i applied in Feb 2016 so matter of 3-6 months now, my WP expire in July 2017.
