it does not make any difference at that time but it will eventually make difference. i did contact MLA and MP 3 months ago and i received call from AINP office at that time. but nothing happened. they said you have to start looking for other options and just 1 month before my wp was expiring i got a call from AINP again and i got my nomination. so you can go talk to them but don't expect instant result.

Can anyone tell me how log it will take to get PR? Online says 16 months but does it actually takes that long? Thanks

Open work permit

Hi, can someone help me with my situation, please.

We have just received AINP employment non-restricted nomination. Can we apply for an open work permit now? We have only a month left before our current work permits expire, and we will not receive AOR so soon.
The lawyer says it is not a problem, we still qualify for open work permits.

They never called me just sent an email saying here is my nomination by email because of Canada post strike.
