That's a different story. End of the last year they gave nominations for all engineers as the quota was almost full and Eng. were on demand. This year might be different, however I don't believe in processing time at least 14 months. I think it will be between 5-8 months.

There is nothing about low salary or a higher noc job.Thay are just giving prefrence to this list since last September 2014 The 2014 internal list of “priority occupations” for the provincial nominee program included the following: machine operators and labourers in food and beverage processing, industrial meat cutters, farm supervisors and specialized livestock workers, transport truck drivers, plasterers and drywallers, welders, steamfitters, pipefitters, sprinkler system installers, drafting technologists and technicians.
The list includes university professors and lecturers and a wide range of engineering jobs — civil, mechanical, chemical and petroleum engineers and engineering managers and construction managers.
Also on the list were mechanical engineer technologists and technicians, electrical and electronics engineering, chemical technologists, heavy duty equipment mechanics, shippers and receivers and supervisors, supply chain tracking and scheduling.
Construction estimators, material handlers, electrical power line and cable workers, sawmill machine operators and machine tool operators were also sought.
In health care, the list includes licensed practical nurses, nurses aides, orderlies and patient services associates, and “other assisting occupations.”
Other categories are light duty cleaners, hotel front desk clerks and automotive service technicians.

so if ur work comes in this list then you might get ur ainp before processing time otherwise just wait for the processing time to done.Fyi I did a 2years diploma in finance and banking from ontario and also bachelors from India.Applied my ainp in may 2014 through one of the big bank in canada and i make around $38000year but my noc code comes in c.My work permit is expiring mid of this year.My one co-worker who applied in dec2013 only recive only file no.so wat my cocnlusion is that its not really about salary or job level all now depend on their requirement.

Hi Ricky,
Thank you for your response. That relaxes me a lot.
Actually there are few more things that I'm worried about. First, because of the market trend, I may get lay off some day. Second, my salary is way below the engineer level in Calgary, so they may get suspicion. Third, there are only 15 months left on my work permit, if something goes wrong with AINP, that gonna be a really sad story for me.
Sorry for my poor English.

Again, appreciate your response, I wish all the best to us.

Is any one here who receive a nomination in this category "5223 Graphic arts technician"

Or any idea is my Noc is in demand? I am so worried about the PNP.. :'(

Did you see how did the Canadians say?
I don't understand how they hate the foreign workers so much. Aren't their parents, grand parents, grand grand parents immigration?

Just don't pay attention. There are morrons in every country. Only 70 years ago the population of Alberta was around 73,000..so...

My employer is trying to get LMIA for me and posted a job on Job bank and other 2 websites. We received 40 resumes in ten days. of those resumes 10 are out of Canada. It seems there are plenty of applicants for my NOC. May be difficult for me to get LMIA because of the volume of applicants.
