Quick suggestion needed

Hi Gurus,

My friend came to Canada last month as an international student, she is 6 months pregnant now and her college health insurance is not covering if pregnancy is not within 90 days. So, please advise a bit on this.

1. Does she need to take another private insurance now ? Her due date is August 2018, if we call insurance do they allow at this stage ?

2. She called hospital, they suggested to contact Service Onratio. Do you think it's a good idea to go to Service Ontario to explain them the situation.

1. She will not find any insurance to cover her at this point.

2. Service Ontario can't do anything for her. She doesn't qualify for OHIP.

It was entirely her responsibility to determine all of this BEFORE coming to Canada. A regular childbirth will cost many thousands of dollars. If there are complications for her and/or the baby, the cost can quickly skyrocket to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
